Losing leafs

Hey there,

Here I have a trouble. I have some earl skunks at 23. day of flowering with LED and in soil. It started almost a month ago with some strange marks on mature leafs like snail trail then lower leafs stared to fall off. At first I thought that it is calcium deficiency and started to using cal mag supplement and checking my ph levels (6,9-7,2) but it just went worst, I lost half of leafs (mostly from below) and its not stoping. Please help me to diagnose my problem before I lose them.

Looks like thrip damage.
Spinosad works well.
It is my opinion that your plants would benefit from a good trimming of the undergrowth as well.

R

Robrites

Might be slugs. Also looks like you might have powdery mildew.

hi I wood, thank you very much for your help. although I checked for the bugs even with a microscope I couldn't find any but I think you're right because when I searched google for thrip damage I found out that the damage and the symptoms are exact same. Tomorrow I will buy a spinosads based insecticide. Thx again..

Look again. They can be hard to spot when not moving.
Thrips are tiny and move to cracks, crevices or the under sides of the leaf as soon as plant is disturbed.

Despite everything, your plants look basically fine and salvageable.

More K. The serrated middle leaves in combination with early-mid flowering suggests lack of P/K. The roots need a lot of P to grow and maintain, and during early flowering they compete for P with the flowers, so more is needed.

The insect damage looks like either thrips or whitefly. A snail trail on the leaves is leaf miner damage. 'Leaf miners' are the larval stage of various insect species including some flies that lay eggs in the leaves, which then eat themselves through the leaves.

Because there's a lack of K, which not only promotes strong stems and branches but also promotes health, the plant is vulnerable to insect and fungal attack. This is what I would do.

Give the plant an elevated level of K, Ca and Si. All of which are in higher demand during flowering and ripening. The Silica strengthens the cells, while at the same time resin is made of Silica, so there is an increased need for it during ripening, when the plant really starts gushing resin. At the same time the plant needs resin to strengthen it's tissues, so there is a competition for Silica in this stage, and the health of the plant suffers.

Outdoors, Silica is rarely an issue, because it is available in the form of sand dust, which is plentiful. In hydro or soilless mixes however, it is often absent. There is Potassium silicate which can help.

I would treat the insects with with a combination of pyrethrum and neem oil, and then repeated treatments of neem oil to keep them away. But really, a lot of the time insect damage and fungal infections are because of nutrient deficiencies.

Don't go overboard with the PPM/EC, however tweak the NPK to go with the phase of growth.

Also, sulfur increases taste and smell.

For the following phases, add the following extra:

Germination: P, K
Vegging: N
Flowering: P (+Mg, Su)
Ripening: K (+Ca, Si, Su)

I agree with "I WOOD" need a little trimming try a little bit of lollipoping. I think you may have light penetrating issues. and your pH is too high.
I agree with"TanzanianMagic" increase your K middle and end of flowering, decrease P and no N at end of flowering.
