ok looks like im going to get a c22 and divide it into two spaces . one for flowering and the other for mothers and clones . i want to move the center divider over four inches so i have 4 sq ft for flower wich i will use a pl 270 watt hps air cooled light .now that will leave me 20 " x20 " for mother /clone.i was thinking of using a 175 mh for mother room , but im worried abought heat .im wondering could i use something smaller in there? thats not that big of a deal but what im realy wondering is how the hell am i gonna vent this thing???? it needs to be air tight , and smell free , so that means carbon scrubber ..BUT i dont want 3 daytons going in there. so im trying to figure out how to pull from one chamber to the next .im thinking air in at the base of the mother room exiting at the top , running down like 5 pvc tubes to the base of the flower room and out the top via dayton...any thoughts from you design gurus ?????

Instead of having to buy a few vent fans i would just get one with a high cfm raiting. Then i would get a connector that splits off into two. You could have that one fan venting out both the veg and flower area's. Also for the veg and mother area you could just use some fluros instead of an HID. Hope this helps. peace

thanks guys ! the flours sound like a way better idea . how much wattage do you think would be needed for that space ? i deffinatley like the idea of one larger fan doing the whole grow. if i air cooled the hps i would need 2 , but does anyone think i would have to air cool it ? if it was kept in a room that was abought 65 in the winter and 75 in the summer ? i dont want this thing to hit above 85 ever. thats a tad to warm for my taste. what cfm fan would i be looking at ??

i have to bump this...anyone know how many flouros i would need here ? and what cfm fan i would need to vent the entire box? and also i was thinking of using a inline fan with a t one going to the mother room the other going to the flower room , now the flower room exhaust id like to hook to the reflector and have all the air from the room go threw that and out.. just wondering if that would be to much of a restriction....

my humble advice

my humble advice

80W of flouro should be plenty to keep a small mother and some clones under. The less vertical height, the less light you'll need. They have small 2' flouros at HD/Lowes which fit very nice in small areas. Or if the space is too cramped for a long flouro, throw a few CFL hanging bulbs in there surrounding the mother.

If going with an exahaust fan, I'd say a Dayton 265CFM would be plenty to vent a 250HPS and small veg area. Ideally you could have it hooked up to a temp monitor in the flower area to vent when going over a certain temp. [those things are so cool]

The inline fan with a T-split sounds like it would work too, just be sure to have passive vent openings in each chamber somewhere so the air being exhausted can be replaced sufficiently. I think cooling the reflector is a great idea, as long as the reflector has an opening [almost all do], or no glass, there will be no obstruction of air flow- it will exhaust the entire chamber easily. An inline 170CFM 4" would be plenty.

Anyways, I hope this helps some.

U could also add a couple of CF's in the mother/clone area to give u some extra lumens, and with their size, they r very versatile, u can place them anywhere they are needed.
