Kinda hard to pin-point a strain with that little to go on. You might have better luck giving a description of the effects of the high, or where "here" is. At the very least we might be able to narrow it down to a sativa or and Indica. Other than that I'd suggest just getting a few strains and starting from there. You'll probably find something you like, or better, something reminiscent of the chuck bud you're after.

Sorry I can't help more,

Zep... Good to see you're on the job.. I was just coming in here to tell him to check with you. I remembered a post in the breeders history where you mentioned Chucky bud.

In the late 70s, early 80s, we had "Christmas Tree".......large, lime-green, buds just as you describe. It was around for 3 or 4 years then disappeared. Never saw a single bean in any of it and I smoked it by the pound. My brother used to sell it. Great stuff. If you find a source for those beans, please let me know.

Sounds like Oaxacan Sativa, the leaves are dark green but the buds cures to a light green xmas tree.

Got some as a freebie from seedbay

Indeed, the Oaxacan Sativa that we got from seeddirect in 2003, together with G13 backX seeds has a very piney flavour and smell with small buds that cures to a very dark green, but its high is not very strong. More gentle and light forming.
I crossed it with Etzel power and I am presently growing it out to see how it turns out.
See this tread about the Etzel Power.

H420! What a perfect discription of 2 things: The oaxacan spears we used to get out here in the west back in the 70's; and some of the early, piney bud that the norcal geniuses produced at the same time. These oaxacan spears had the brightest lime green colour I've seen on bud and had the biggest, fattest beans ever. Very nice buz but not as strong as whites and the skunks and the hazes, etc. When sprouted, the seed leaves were also huge and the plants just took off. Obtained some Oaxacan/skunk F1s from the s.s.s.c. company back in the early 90's but the potency didn't even approach that of good oaxacan spears. That was some fabulous mexican smoke allright but my favorite mexican was acapulco gold. What a joy! Ultra-spiffy high and taste! Got a hybrid called 'beatrix choice ' from s.s.s.c. that was acapulco gold and afghani/african. O how I wish I still had dat shit!! I think the answer might be to go to Mexico for the gold( assuming the strain hasnt been diluted out of existence). Also nice stuff from Mexico in the 70's: Chiapas grew strong skunky pot and there was some 'rainbow Guereran' that was exceptional, but most of the better mex was either bright green or gold--- too bad that great country doesnt seem to have these strains anymore--- they opened up a can o whipass--- but maybe--- in acapulco(vacation town popular with well-off mexican vacationers)--just maybe--the gold still lurks.

Last week I harvested my Oxacan Sativa.
It has a definite piney flavour and smell to it. I let it flower for 8.5 weeks.
(this is not the same plant that is shown in my previous post.)

Nice bud structure on your plant Ronley. Not much room for leaves when those buds squeeze em out. Pretty plant.
