Looking for that Grass Valley/Sacramento Nepalese ..

Used to grab packs back in the day from Grass Valley .. I’ve only been able to find hybrids , Hermetic Genetics have Nep/Durban crosses .. Its rumored to be Tahoe OG but I beg to differ ... She’s on my bucket list for many reasons.. Not a lot of info anywhere on her . Probably closely held. Bodhi uses it in some crosses I think. It’s probably a crap shoot to source her from available land race seeds ..

It's definitely not worth 20k. Back in the day when og n chems were rare it sold for big bucks. Now clone guys in gv sell it for 8-12$ a cut every spring.

whats your fave outdoor from that area ? Maybe it’s a different cut ? The one I had was killer. The Green Ribbon was a stand out too .

The Nepalese I'm thinking of is the one that sold for 20k back in the day. It's the grass valley nep. It's the first OG i have ever seen. Probably around 2000. Could possibly be the first OG. Very similar to Tahoe. I don't love the Tahoe either. Neither have a true gas nose in my opinion. Allot of guys were using it to make crosses for their outdoor seeds back in the day.

Cuts specifically from here, I'm not sure. There has been this mk ultra cut that's been in this town for a very long time that's pretty nice. The kashmir and big kush are definite winners. They are very very similar but i think the big kush is a little more vigorous. Grows really big with allot of stretch. Really chunky big gassy nugs. It's an OG but bigger. Finishes before most OG. The golden ticket is nice if you can find it. Looks like indoor. The pineaple jack is probably the biggest yielding plant i have ever seen. Very loud pineapple nose. Huge plant with rock hard huge buds. Grows kind of like blue dream.
These days less people are running stuff specific to this area. It's more the same cuts being passed around the rest of norcal.

I would like to try the green ribbon again. Next time i see cuts, I'm going to grab it. Og and cookie got so popular, i don't see it much anymore. It's kind of like green crack, kind of like afgoo. Probably more like afgoo.

Hey man thx for the info ! The story I heard , not sure if it’s true is that Green Ribbon was the original Green Crack . Who knows lol . Some fine weed either way . I’ll keep my eyes open for those cuts . Mk Ultra I had years ago was the kill . Might have to revisit .

Bodhis Nepali OG likely has nothing to do with Nepal. It's an OG Kush cut.

The name likely comes from the Napali coast in Hawaii, according to Bodhi.

Do u live in GV? If u hit me up in the spring, i can give you a clone guys number that has nep. But it's not worth traveling for. Sometimes they have interesting stuff. Usually it's just flavor of the months with a few classics. The kashmir was the #1 requested clone for outdoor last year. Everyone was constantly sold out and all the nurseries wish they grew more moms.

Wondering if this is any relation to the Royal Nepalese that is relatively common in GV area? I assume not, as the Royal Nepal isn't gassy or reminiscent of an OG, but this post made me curious. Definitely is a staple in many folks outdoor gardens around that area though, does very well outdoors.

I grew up in Shasta County thi, world at Humboldt Hydroponics in redding back in the 2000s and lived in Arcata when I wet i college of the redwoods... I don't know anybody in Butte County to get cute from except some Mexicans with dessert Gelato crosses... I'm just a short drove from grass valley, cab I hit you up? So I've been meaning to start this thread ever since I planted on the first of this month. for some reason I'm just now getting to it. I thought I had pics of my plants when I first put them in the ground but I guess I just have a pic of the empty garden and the plants in pots about to go in. so...

I know rollitup sucks now but it was decent in those days. I'm on overgrow, zlabs and phenohunter now along with images. I haven't had anything to post till this year tho. I'm ding a massive seed pop and pheno hunt to look for genetics that do well in my mountain shade climate and have the funk j remember from growing up smoking dank in nor cal... trainwreck, hashplant, gooey, ssh cat piss, Jager, romulan, ak47 n white rhino type smells along with interesting landraces to use for hybrids...

Hope to source some legit funk clones to grow next to my seeds and use as good measuring sticks to help pick phenomena
