looking for info regarding the local PK, OG and bubba cuts

I dont have access to a lot of cuts but the ones I do have are pretty nice for a noob like myself. Anyways I am currently growing out a local biker cut of PK and have access to OG kush and bubba. I grow in a MBP rdwc setup. I have smoked all of the above cuts and happy with all their bag appeals and potency. My main concern is yield and stretch of each strain in regards to the mpbs and my light spacing.

Currently only growing out PK but will be splitting up the room and running 7 bubbas and 7 OG's for the next run, So I will have all my answers in time. Only way to know for sure is to grow them out right?

I would though, love some peoples opinions until that time comes. Thus far I am very please with this pk cut in my mpb's. Only complaint is that its a very slow vegger. Shes a heavy feeder and loves to be trains aggressively.

With the above said, my main goal is to find out which one of the 3 kush cuts will obtain the greatest vertical height. I saw a recent urban grower vid with a pk and og tree grow and the ogs look to be better yielders.

out of the 3 cuts which would you say is the best yielder in a tree grow?

hey mike,

the pk i run is from socal and is a reworked og kush x purple ghani(for yield in bc of course lol). it is a heavy feeder, but vigorus in veg? she grows more squat and lateral branches if not topped (recommended).

the og i have is pure kush, and grows less branches then the pk. u know the perfect elongated kush nodes vs branches. this one will grow monster rock hard buds under optimal conditions. its more orange then the red of the pk too on the cure.

there is abubba goin around that is actually med mans sour diesel. very fuely. but can be confused for bubba or og to the untrained eyes lol. if the bubba u have is from the 03 04 circulation its bubba for sure. the sour d was acquired from a un finished baby factory that got shut down before it started rolling, and 5 cuts were taken form 3 closet plants kept to keep her going. this is the biggest yielder of the 4 elite cuts. but looks so like bubba when growing, until the 4th week of bloom.

i would say all these cuts will do awesome in mpbs. hydro should get decent veg growth rate with most plants, just get them 3 weeks pre veg in smaller cubes under t5's or something to get em rooted well. peace, d

great info... On a side note I got my med license. How long did it take you to receive yours?

Like I said I am very happy with the pk, only lacks vertical growth. I honestly have never grown a plant that is so damn branchy but I honestly feel the mpbs had something to do with it as well as the vertical lighting.

I am currently only in my first run and havnt even flipped yet. I veg 6x6x4 cubes in a 4x4 table, under a 1k hps air cooled, lifted all the way to the ceiling. I slowly lower the light over the course of 3 weeks until the light is about 10" away from the canopy. At 2 weeks I transplant into a 10" net basket and continue to veg for another week. In this time I can get the 4-6" rooted clones up to 18-22" total 3 weeks veg under a 1k.

I then move them to the mpbs and continue to veg them out for what I though would only be another 2 weeks, currently on the begining of the 3rd week in mpb room, 5 week veg total. I now have 30"x30" bushes. I was hoping to veg only 2 weeks in the buckets, trying to get them up to 36" before flip to 12/12. I think I am going to veg for another week and get them up to 36" as planned.

Once my license gets here I am going to veg them out for 6 weeks in rdwc buckets under 2k in hopes to get them taller before going into the mpb room to continue to veg. In my veg room I could care less about branching because that will be taken care of with ease in the MPB room. Its all about vertical height in veg with these kush strains and the mpbs.

thanks for info though... Have you seen any nice hashplant or g13 crosses going around these days? I remember some nice hashplant bud going around years ago but have never seen a plant much less grown it out... would love to though one day.

OG is better in hydro buckets from what I have seen, it vegs pretty fast and stretches like crazy so it doesn't need nearly as much veg time to grow trees as with the PK. Remember to stake or trellis the OG because it's lanky and stems can bend or break. PK likes to grow laterally and has very tight internodes which gives it the illusion of growing slower than other stretchier strains. The PK takes much more veg to get trees, I think it is better suited to SOG or SCROG than big plants. If you can find the rockstar kush clone this does great in buckets and need only a week or two of veg to get gigantic.

Hashplant is still around but most people stopped growing it because the market got saturated/tired of it. Same thing will happen with kush eventually..

Also take this with a grain of salt unless you really trust your source of clones, there are quite a few different clones of different kushes going around BC and people often don't have a clue as to what they are really growing. There are a few kush clones in circulation that are actually just bagseed..

i would go for the bubba the biker cut of pk reeeeeks if you really have that cut and when its dry an oz will stink up the whole house triple bagged in the freezer. the bubba has 3 to4 variations plus this sour diesel skinny leaf one thats bs. greenhouse seeds got themselves a heavy yielding phenom i mean a real fatty kinda like dr atomic bbk if he made one, ts a beast but takes alot fo seeds to find it. week 3 veg all are about foot tall this one almost 3 lol beast. yields heavier then my 90 romulan and the 90 romulan has 3 to 4 buds the size of a small kids head at 5 feet tall. there is the katsu bbk the pre 94 3 cuts i believe one more blue bubble gumish that didnt go commercial and the top dawg bbk aka platinum bbk wich also can be a beast i think thats where ghs got their cut from. i donno for sure but ill say again beasttttttt.

The bubbas are currently starting week 2 of veg.

They do not have skinny leaves in fact the actual leaflets are extramely fat and already getting close to the size of my hand. These clones are way bigger than the pk in the same room, same age. So can I assume that his is not the sour D thats going around considering how fat the leaves are.

I was not able to get some OG which was a mix up on my clone guys part. Its fine with me... he sourcing me some pink kush and OG for the next round. The bubbas looked like shit when I got them but they really turned around.

I think after growing all these cuts I will come to the conclusion which one will work best in my buckets.
