Theres alot of different portions to internet security. It would help if you get a bit more specific about your questions and go from there.
WELL ONE IT HAS TO DO WITH GOOGLE BUT WHAT I FOUND I DID NOT LIKE BUT AT THE SAME TIME I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT ON THE OPEN FORUM JUST YET. TILL I CAN FIND OUT HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ON MY END FIRST. THEN I WILL LET EVERY ONE KNOW... I will take a wild stab at it.. you are startled to find out that by using an unusual user name on this forum [and many other forums] that when you google it you find you've left a gigantic internet trail that pretty much leads right back to you.
#1 rule on the internet is dont post your personal information.. anywhere.
My recommendation at this point is pick a different user name. Preferably one you can already google and it turns up a million hits pointing to something else.

dam Verite i was going to wait till i cleaned up my trail some what lol but ok every one now know i am a dumb ass but i am sure i am not the only one to have done this but yes you are right i never gave it any thought till the other day but my main concern is my family and co-working finding out what i am doing leo i don't give a dam about if they want me they can get me with Google or with out. hell let em come get me i want to see there face when they pry open that evil grow box and find a tomato plant lmao. i wish there was a way to clear what i left behind but i cant so i been deleting accounts changing screen name but while i am here what would be a good private e-mail account that cant be traced back to me is there any such service out there.
hey verite how would i know if i was being hacked i was just typing a post and every thing on my key borad was back wards i keep getting port scaned a lot and last week some one put 30 virus on my puter they got pass my firewall could not even delte em was a vb scrit virus my e mail is full of virus funny my virus scanner see em coming in but cant delte them then after they install them selfs it cant find them any more not sure but i swear some one is trying to f me. and now windows keep re booting lost my modems my net work is gone lucky i got my linux live cd only way i can get back on line now got to re formatt the hard drive again i am getting sick of this and if say there is some on e that has it in for me how do they know what isp nuber i am running since mine change each time i log on line but it keep getting worse each day now some reson aim is sending messige with out me sending them just log on with linux and dail up my isp and soon as i log on the net aim sent a messige saying hes fucking back on
First, you need some sort of firewall in place, be it software (built in Windows firewall even...but looks like you are using a Linux variety? No clue what Debian is!) or a hardware firewall on a router. NEVER EVER access the web straight through your cable modem or similar hardware.
My guess would be that you got hit with a spyware bundle that continues downloading crap onto your system, hence the 30 viruses, and now your machine is being used as a drone for spamming or DDOS attacks. My advice is to do a complete wipe of your HDD and rebuild from scratch. And for god sake get a firewall in place. Even default settings for cheap routers will block most ports.
Not to start a MS debate but at least MS products have readily available software to prevent and remove attacks like what you are seeing. Windows Defender, Ad-Aware, X-Cleaner, Symantec AV, etc.
Last but not least, never use a userID on a site like ICMag (possible illegal activity) that you have EVER used anywhere else. A completely new, random ID is the best defense to being tracked. PM a mod, they can change your ID if you request it. Completely wipe and redo your system and create a new userID here (and any other MJ site you subscribe to) if its a repeat of an ID used elsewhere.

well i do have a firewall running and aint virus running just re did the hard drive and had a fresh install of widows xp pro but i dont have cable still sueing dial up but funny i when i ran knoppix well linux on a cd i trun on gaim wich handles all im services like aim yahoo ect ect i got a messinge from my self to my self saying he fucking back wich seem really weird but what bugging me now is there some out there thats playing game with me and if so how the hell do i found out i would not put it past my brother doing this shit he use to love to port fuck me years ago he used to have program like port fuck and other nuking program i have been tracing some of the isp number logging on my puter and i am getting a few from Russia Amsterdam's and france as for the os i run

one thing i for got to add one of the virus i got i was able to read the vbscripe file when i ran under linux and it had the name of the punk who made it was SorRyAzZcOder
and it had some thing about zone alarm and some thing about anti virus not shure what all the code stuff ment but under windows i could not delte the dam file it would not let me run in safe mode and once it was insatlled my avg anit virus no longer seen it as a virus but i been having shit like this happen for years since i ran my own file sahering server and since then i keep getting shit like this every day there getting past my fire wall and i dont know how the hell there doing it or why there doing this but i need some info on how to stop this kind of crap and if poussbile how i can fight back

Get somthing that limits port connections down to one or two random ports that you will set up for sharing program to direct incoming connections to? I thought that kind of protection was common? I do it through my router and torrent sharing prog.

well i am planing on truing a old 286 puter i got into a Linux router soon as i can find a Linux program that will run on it but the real thing is bugging me is that message i got that was sent tru AIM saying hes fucking back sent to my self i never sent such a message thats why it kind of make me think some one doing this cuz they have a grudge again me. and some of my problem is me being over paranoid and i me smoking to much med and they have seem to be a lot stronger than i gave it credit for since today i have had none and i feel a lot better
