Long-time Problem...need advice

Hi all:

I have had this problem from the get go and it has varried it how quickly it spreads. Lately, it has been catching up with the plant and I am getting worried. I was told that it was a cal/mag issue which I can be seen from the bright edges of the leaves....and I guess the brown spotting is cal? I grabbed some calmax and added a healthy dose. Also made sure that pH was relatively stable. I have also noticed lately that the new growth is really light green.

I would appreciate some help as I want to take some clones soon so I have my tray full!

One thought is that it may be my fert....does anyone know about using Iguana Juice Grow in Hydro...I did some research and it seemed like it checked out but the problem persists no matter what I try! Keep in mind this is my first time trying hydro.

I'm no expert, but it looks like nutrient burn to me. I also use Iguana Juice and one thing I know is to not use the amount the label recommends. If it says 3.5ml per gallon--- i would cut it in half at least.

igy juice is very strong cut in 1/2.... and if your using AN addatives cut in 1/2 again

also id advise going to r/o tap will lock out alot.

id all so raise your ph to 6.0 as to 5.8 ... that way when it dose drop it's not down to 5.2 witch is a prob in it self

i had the same prob's with igy juice in hydro. it works very good in soil...

thanks for the help guys...onelov i have heard many positive things about igy juice in soil but it just seems ill suited for hydro...res smells like a nasty fish tank...I may switch ferts when i go into flower.

I figured it was my ferts...so tomorrow when I mix a new res up I will use less and see how it goes.

Any more suggestions would be great!

IJ is good but cut it in 1/2 ....but the problem looks more like the typical cal/mag def... only hardcore..
use some sensical...
if you have it, if not id do a foliar with epsom salts and water (one teaspoon)per liter...

What is that in the 5th pic down ? Your res looks like you describe it's smell and you appear to be using clear plastic hose [PVC] not hard black plastic hose [uPVC].... the aggressive [pH] nutrient solution is making your hose go "cloudy" and leaching all the nasty plasticisers out of the clear plastic hose and into your solution.

I would flush it out, change the hose and put in a fresh solution, yours looks nasty from that pic. Using standard hydro feeds [Growth Technology, Canna, Ecolyzer, Bcuzz, GHE] I have never had any problems at all but do hear of problems with various organic feeds.
