Long flowering sativa question

I know it's probably not appropriate as it's not an ace strain. But I gave a friend some papua new guinea gold seeds to grow out in spain. Other strains are almost finished and these are just starting to show sex now. Would I be right in thinking they won't be ready until the end of December maybe January? Maybe some haze growers can chime in .
Sorry for the crappie picture. It's the plants on the background

yes this is a long flowering plant , i don't know this strain, only read something about it but is growing slow because is more sensible to photoperiod. pure sativas normally start to flower without light dep only at the end of september or first days of october. in spain now a day have 11 h of light instead in august you have 13 h . usually in outdoor modern hybrid start to flower in august but a pure sativa can't because is receiving one hour or two extra compare to region it came from.

He'll have to wait until end december probably, as you predicted, maybe mid january.
If he's got mild winters maybe they can finish, otherwise low temps won't be making the plants happy and will have to harvest early(before frost).
But nevermind, sometimes even unripe sativa buds have a very nice effect, not strong but pleasant.

This makes perfect sense, I have no experience with pure sativa like this. Maybe a bit naive but I thought it would finish in spain but maybe not

yes it will but less intensity of the sun ,high humidity , lower temp and storms make it more difficult if you don't have a greenhouse. any way this is a strong strain and probably will surprise you showing her strength compare to modern hybrid.

Hi need4weed,

Your PNG sativa in the back of the pic looks like an extreme long flowering tropical sativa, comparable with pure haze, will probably finish on the second half of December/early January if weather allows. Some of these extreme long flowering sativas can be properly finished outdoors in spanish mediterranean coast, southern spanish coast and in Canary islands, but they are not suitable for northern spanish locations or continental areas.

How is she doing ? Is she still flowering ?
PNG sativas are rare and very interesting, hopefully you can finish her properly and provide some feedback.

Very interesting plant. I remember meeting a sativa fanatic that swore PNG was his holy grail trippin' smoke and he has never been able to find it again. I can't really add anything of value to the answers you have already gotten as I have never even seen this strain grown before let alone have experience with it personally. One thing I can tell just by looking at it is that its going to be a very long flowering plant. I hope you have the patience to see her through. Such a rare plant strain as this graces too few gardens.
