Lone Seed

I harvested a BG female a week ago and i was scoping her out for a little bit today... almost dry. But i Found a single Gigantic Seed.... I didnt keep her out to long because i didnt want the light to touch her much but i didnt see any hermies on her at all.... THere is a possiblity that she got in contact with another plant of mine that i found hermies on 6 days ago... but.. i only found the hermies around the day i harvested her... So ... Not exactly Sure Where its from but... with this little seed... What are the possible outcomes.... If it was Self pollinated....

Will it be a bad ass plant or will it be less of what the mother was....

I believe that ive heard both ends.... Some people say selfed seeds arent good and others have gotten really killer stuff.... Is one more likely than the other (Better Vs Worse)

following the natural order of things plants get polinated and make seeds. but when you're growing sinsemilla you will get from time to time a seed or two. because the plant needs to make shure that her genes will live on, it self polinates so that's why you got that seed.

Right.... I figured either The Hermie on the other plant Pollinated it.. or It Selfed...leaning more towards the selfing.. Im more interested in the Product the seed will produce.... and how that plant 'Could" be

It takes about a month after pollenation to create viable seed so it was most likely self-pollenated.The plant should be female.I've had this single seed experience once and it was female.
Because the plant was self pollenated you should be extra careful about checking that one for sacs.

Thanks For all your help guys... Im going to start just stating what I Think. or have been Taught...then ask you all to confirm or correct my thinking... I have millions of questions, just sometimes have problems wording them. Bascially what i have learned is that 3 things can happen from planting a selfed seed

1. The seed can turn out with less worth than the original mother

2. The seed will turn out very similar to the mother

3. The Seed with turn out to be Superior to the Mother.

Which out of the Three is more likely to happen? Ive read about the S1 Train Wreaks and they are mcuh weaker than the original. (So im told)..... Then i hear Hazys Strains Story and the origins of the c99....

Also with Selfing... What is it like a Small micro Pollen Sac they make or something? like i said i couldnt see any flowers...

It should be similar to the mother but if the bud the seed came from was a multiple hybrid or a cross rather than a stable strain you could see some variation.

Sometimes female plants form male "bananna" type pollen sacs within the bud itself and they're not always visible.

for sure, the baron knows this 1 grower who uses 1 vent system for both his cab's... which is fine in theory, but it almost ALWAYS cross-pollinates his plants due to males/hermies in the veg cab... usta get lot's from him, but after getting tired of the huge banana's that were making up the majority of the bag weight due to the plethora of seeds in the fucker... quit visiting.

he got robbed twice since. probably a good thing...

Ok guys.. thanks so much.... I got another question ... I have a male who just opened... Im using a film case to collect his pollen. The only other time ive seen pollen was when one of the hermies i was cutting of plant burst... I seen the pollen float in the air. So now... Im taking pollen from this male and it doesnt look quite the same. This is very small fine power this male is giving me... its really not a whole lot, but the edges around the film case look powery and thats it.. (Almost like someone used to keep there hard drugs in there)... but my mental vision of the pollen i first seen was much bigger... Just grain wise though almost like the size of a grain of sand... fairly larger looking compaired to this true male pollen. Nothing has realy happend to the Hermie plant that i am trying to manage.. No pistills have receeded.... Me thinks that pollen was not Viable?... But my Real Question is with the Film case... is that very small amount of residue around the edges enough.... It doesnt look like i could get too much more?... Also Should I just take pollen from him once and Ditch him (Longer he is in the house the more risk the girls are the way i see it) or should i do it a couple of times over the course of a few days?.... I havent pollinated anything before, but im guessing it doesnt take much of this stuff to do the job on a single bud sites.
