i live in humboldt county and i really love it here but for economic reasons i am thinking of moving up to oregon. i am a valid 215 patient, here in california, and use cannabis to help with pain control and also a serious anxiety/panic disorder i have. for all those living in oregon, my question is would i be able to qualify for medical in oregon. i am on a number of prescription pharmaceuticals ( yuck ) and cannabis allows me to be less dependant on the nasty pharma drugs and actually works better than than some of them. flat out.
can somebody direct me to more info on this subject or give anecdotal advice? i also hear the medical cannabis community in oregon is a very sharing commmunity and i really like the spirit of cooperation.
thanks every one! and just for my curiosity, whats the most sough after strains up there?

mods im not sure if this is the right spot for this thread so please let me know if you move it,... thanks!

Here's all the official stuff about the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP):

Regarding whether you will qualify, I can't speak to that, I'm not an expert. I can tell you that I had to supply legit doctor reports/xrays to get the go ahead. California might be a bit more lax than Oregon. Seems like most folks are able to qualify in Oregon, don't hear sob stories about not qualifying.

Here is a link to one of the larger OMMP clinics that help people get their cards, these guys can probably answer your questions best:

Oregon is a really beautiful place. I don't think I could ever see myself leaving my home state regardless of what the government says I can and cannot do, but if I were to make that choice Oregon, and the PNW in general would be near the top of a very short list. Good luck.
