Little Brown Spots!!??

I have my 1st ever grow started, just to get the issues with my room worked out before it really counts. I am just using bagseed, as my upcoming 2 week vacation will not allow me time to really get going, and am just trying to get them to the point I can sex them (practice)...then they get the axe as I will really begin in Feb.

Here is one at about 15 days from seed sprout, 9 days under a crappy generic flourescent 2 tube light and 6 days under my new 400w HPS both 24hrs.....going to 12/12 today I think.

What are the little brown spots on the tops of the one set of leaves? It's only on 1 of 6 plants and just on that one set of leaves. I looked at the bottom of the leaves & there appear to be no pests I can see, and the spots look to be on the top side of the leaves...you can see the spots thru the leaf a bit but it looks to be coming from the top side.

I did have some temp issues at first, which is what I think the browning of the leaf tip is....but I'm not 100% sure.

Any ideas what I might have going on?

Thanks, Joe

Need more grow information, considering the fact you are growing out bagseed, each one can be grown out different, like each plant can take a different amount of nutrients, some may need more some may be picky and burn easy, you can use compact fluros, they would be a lot better for your plants rather than using that 400 right now.

THey are much better spectrum for the plants right now, when they get bigger you can use the 400 again.
Are you growing in soil? If so what is the mixture?
Have you fed your plants anything yet?
Have you tested the pH run off?
Are you watering with tap water? RO? Bottled? Distilled?

Stitch, for this test grow only, I am growing in a general pre-bagged mix from the garden center. It has no fertilizer in it that I saw listed.
I have fed them a 1/4 strength mix of Miracle Grow (again, not what I will be using in the future) after about 10 days from sprout.
I just got a good meter last night, so I have not taken an accurate measurement but according to a liquid PH test it is somewhere around the low to mid 6's.
I am currently using tapwater allowed to air out for 24 hours that has been PH adjusted to the high 6's using a liquid PH test.

Thanks for your help!!!!!!

hey zoolander I just learned my lesson with miracle grow and feeding seedlings. Your seedlings should not be fed until the cotyldons (pre leaves) die and fall off and the your first leaf is starting to yellow. At that point you can start with 1/4 strength and increase from there depending on how the plant reacts.
BTW- those spots look like they are related to a K defiency most likely caused by lockout from feeding your seedlings.
no worries bro, thats what the test is for. also, i'm pretty new at this so take my advice with a grain of salt.

I got a good PH reading from runoff water with my new $80 Oakton meter.....it's at 6.2 which I know is a little low.

What's the best way to correct it? I do have PH up & down that I have been using to adjust my water, can that be used and if so, how?

Thanks again for your help!!!
