liquid weed, am I an idiot?

Ok, so Im in this band, and Im at the drummers house (whom Ive known for about 6 weeks) who always has bags and bags of weed, and more or less seems pretty straight up (well, as far as musicians go anyway)...

The other night he pulls out this small bottle (50 ml), filled with a dark liquid, that he calls liquid weed, and offers me some...I take a small sip, and I think I got ****ed up, but up till that point I was smoking alot anyway, so its kinda hard to tell. It kind of had a taste like herb.

Has anyone ever heard of this stuff? I can only imagine the amount of herb it would take to make something like this.

I unfortunately had to open up my big mouth and say that I would take a bottle (for 50 bucks), its still sitting in my bass case....

Anyone ever hear of this stuff before>?

"Are you talking about Green Dragon?" Never heard of that stuff, this came in a small liqour bottle, the kind you get at a liqour store checkout, so I assume it was homemade.\

I still have this stuff, havent tried it since the first time....Im trying to figure a way out of paying 50 bucks for it...lol...I have a feeling I got ripped...

Green dragon is when you take a high proof grain spirit like vodka, everclear, or 151 rum and put weed in it for two weeks or longer. The THC is extracted into the alcohol, and you get both drunk and high from ingesting it.

thanks, maybe thats what this stuff is...Have you ever had it? DId you notice a more intense buzz? Is it worth paying for do you think?

Wish I was still growing so I could experiment with this....

Wish I was still growing so I could experiment with this....

I've made many tinctures myself and they can be very potent and a nice way to ingest, especially for medicinal use in the evening to provide a good nights sleep.

Can't tell you if it was worth what he charged you for it as I don't know how strong it is. If he used $50 worth of weed, then yeah it would be worth it.

either way if he seems straight up then pay for it, you made the deal.

edit: 2-5 grams of weed per liquid oz of alcohol is normal range for tinctures

thanks...15 minutes ago I just tried a little bit, basically just a couple of drops on my toungue...The liquid is very dark green, and has a really strong bite to it, so much so that I think it would be best mixed with something else. At this point I do feel like I have somewhat of a buzz, not a stoney, couch lock buzz, but more of an energetic one, of course without knowing how potent this stuff is, theres no way of telling how much is needed....

Guess I owe this guy 50 bucks...

careful with the stuff. high oral doses of canna are not fun by any means!!! take it very slow, or call the guy and ask him how much is in it....

also it was prob made with everclear so dont get burned by it....

now a thought has crossed my mind, making green dragon with absinthe as the base liquor. i still have 3 bottles of it left from my last trip to the dam. how much worse could it make the taste of the absinthe? the absinthe i have is 184 proof, so it should extract nicely. more in a couple of weeks...

FWIW - it should take about 1-2 hours for full effects of a tincture to kick in

not sublingually, if having to pass through the stomach then yes that long but when kept in the mouth it can start very quickly (or on an empty stomach)
