Hmm, I'd do a search for DIY float valves, I saw a tutorial on those recently here on ICmag that was pretty cool. I use an old Ebb and Grow controller as a full time drain for two dehumidifiers and one AC that drops into a bucket (I've even used it as an emergency piss pot when I was working in the room for 6 hours!) Just gotta remember to have a hose handy to "flush" the bucket or the smell will make you puke in a week.

What are you trying to do? If you want to drain a bucket automatically when it fills up, look at the DIY E&F controller for buckets. Then just use the top or bottom half for the bucket.

I have my tables set up with catch bins. Using a relay, and 2 float switches, a pump turns on automatically when it gets half full

I'm handwatering coco drain to waste and it's alot of work.Right now my 3/ 3x3 trays are on top of rubbermaid bins and one is a 5 gal bucket.I'm gonna build some better tables for these trays and would like to run all 3 drains to one of these so I can pump it out of my room to where ever I decide.I had fungus nats I think mainly because of standing water that is just too hard to get at to manually pump out or dump as I have so many plants crammed into this 6x6 walkin closet if you guys could see it you'd friggin laugh yer ass off.But yeah thank for the info so the ebb n flow controller will do the same thing ok.I've always been such a stubborn dirt farmer that all these toys are new to me and I'm playing catch up!thanks guys.nuggler

Here's the kit I use, EBB/Flow controller
You could also just buy the parts individually and build just a drain bucket, the instructions are on the web site.
