Hey whats up everyone, I built a realllll gangsterrr, cheap bubble cloner out of a rubbermaid container ($10), and some cheap styrofoam cups($2.00/60cups), some cheap fish tank pumps ($20 for 2), and some of that clear oxygen hosing...

Oh, and I used a drill with a large door hole size bit to drill the holes for the styrofoam...I think styrofoam is a great idea since I can easily dispose of them after use.

Chopped up 30 clones from my for sure females. I have a numbering system going on here, and my moms and clones are numbered so I can track them and decide what mom I am keeping.

Step 1: Drill out 30 holes into a shallow rubbermaid tub of your choice. Also drill a 1/4'' hole through the top of the container so that an air tube can be ran through it.

Step 2: Count out 30 styrofoam cups and cut them in half.

Step 3: Fit all of the styrofoam cups in their desired hole securely, just to make sure everything is going to run smooth.

Step 4: Hook up the air pump with the hosing and bubbler attatchment and then fill the tub with water. (I use ph'd 5.7 water, don't care if it really matters or not, I just like to ph down the water)

Step 5: I use a process of grabbing one cup out of the cloner at a time, label it with the number i wrote on the original mother from which the clone entering it will live with a permanent marker very small, poke a hole through the bottom of the styro with a clean nail...

step 6: I cut as many clones as I can from each female plant and stick the stem through the styro holes

Step 7: Be sure that you're stems are in the water, and that the bubbles are rushing!

Once you have completed, you're plants will look bare...

but don't worry... 10-15 more days and you will have 30 more cuts to make from those same plants!

hope this helps :rasta:

awesome cloner. I need to make one of those things.

Question- if you use a dipping solution, what do you use? Also, do you use r/o water, tap water, or r/o water with some type of additive?

Nice setup!

i dont use a dipping solution.

all you need is highly aerated water and a nice cut from the right part of the plant..

i use ph'd tap water....

i dont think it needs to be ph'd, but i just to it because i can

there is a sticky on cloning by JJScorpio...

he uses jiffy's, but it really doesnt matter what you use, as long as you cut it in the right spot...

the best way to describe where to cut it at is to cut it at a node (which is where you might find new leaves forming say half way across a limb between the stalk and the end leaves.

you cannot cut a fan leaf and clone that
