lightweight carbon filter or hepa filter?

O

Organabis

Anyone have suggestions on a light weight carbon filter? Will hepa filters do the job? I'm looking for a 6" to hang up in a tent so its got to be lightweight and work for about 6 months also.

Check Phresh filters. Their case is aluminum so they are much lighter than most filters. Plus they use the best carbon. Good luck. -granger

HEPA filters are no good for odor control. They retain small particles up to 0.3 micron, but won't retain the volatile substances like those responsible for the smell.
Use activated carbon filter for air, there is for water too, not suitable for odor control. You also can buy activated carbon for air filters, and then just replace the carbon periodically, not the whole filter assembly, because is much cheaper.

I run the can lite 66 and its really nice. You can put it up yourself, weighs maybe 20 lbs. And its rated for at least 400 cfm

Mountain Air is top quality. They use the same carbon as Phresh. Mt Air is great, but they use a Stainless Steel can. Phresh is much lighter, using an aluminum can.
