Lightput - freeware light control software

Lightput is a freeware program that can be used to control lights that are controllable through DMX communications. There are some really good high powered LED drivers that use DMX for control, and using an LED driver like that with a computer running Lightput, you could easily have great control over the output of your lighting. If you want to have your lights slowly fade on or off or have different levels of light at different times of the day like increased far-red light before lights out, Lightput has a 12 step sequencer that can run for 24-hours, allowing you to make one very functional light timer.

Lightput works for Windows and Ubuntu Linux (possibly other Linux's, I don't know)

bump, I know there's not a ton of people using DMX controlled LED drivers for their grows, but I'd love to see if it makes a difference. If it doesn't make much difference in growing to control the lighting, If you live in Colorado or Washington, you could make a really cool display out of your weed plants and have a big curtain on a DMX controlled motor that opens and closes at sun up and sun down. I'm making a 24 hour timer mode in the future that will be designed for running this kind of setup, as well as other things.
