I am trying to eliminate veg time so that I can pull a crop every 8 weeks.I was curious to know if that when vegging my clones in cups before transferring them into the flower room would it be better to veg for 24 hours as opposed to 18.I feel that maybe it will take a little longer for them to make the full tansition into bloom and therefore give them a little more veg without vegging in the bloom room.Anyone have any input on this idea. Thanks for your time.

I veg my plants 24 hrs of light and when you make the switch they seem to flower allmost immediately because they have never seen darkness....

I never bought into that whole idea that you can somehow make a plant flower faster under 12/12 by screwing around with veg times.I hear people say they'll go to 18/6 then 16/8 "working down" then when they switch to 12/12,boomo bingo the plants magically flowers like its on meth or something. Its all in the strain/pheno as to how fast things are going to happen under 12/12,nothing at all to do with vegtimes

If you have them vegging 24 hours rather than 18 hours , well it gives you an extra 6 hours a day growth X 7 = EXTRA 42 hours a week = nearly an extra 2 days a week = EXTRA 7 Days a month ! :woohoo:

my theory was growing from seed, to veg for 2 full months under 24/7 light and then switch to 12/12. This would allow for more maturity in the plant and hopefully more budsites and more hearty lusher buds as well as an overall stronger plant. I dont know if this is correct and its my first grow but so far my plants are doing well.. about 24 inches and very lush and will switch to 12/12 next week. Now my clones will be different because they are from already mature plants so will veg and flower in 3 gallon containers with smaller plants as oposed to 5 gallon for my current ones.

Hasn't any ever heard mother nature is best. Where does weed in nature grow without ANY dark cycle? Dark is when the roots grow.

ruderalis does it but everyone knows how subpar rudy is unless you make a hybrid its not worth shit. My plants have always had better growth with 18/6 I keep my mom under 24 hour though just cause its easier for me.

growing indoors is not mother nature. No matter how many lights you have inside its not the same as real sun. I use 24/7 and know someone else who did 18/6, same strain same veg period and we started the same time. His were taller but mine we shorter but more dense with more undergrowth. To each his own i guess. I will stick with 24/7.

the way they look in veg has little to do with what most would care about, did you guys compare at harvest?
