Lighting security question

Hi folks,

I've ordered a 600W MH bulb. There is this bubble in the glass wall of the bulb. Is this a safety issue or not? As those bulbs get really hot, I was just wondering. I haven't used the bulb yet.

Thank you in advance for your opinion!

The blob on the arc tube is not a problem, nor is the spindle shaped void. When the gas mix is injected into the arc tube the ingress hole is sealed with a blob of melted quartz, leaving the bulge in the side of the tube.
Air bubbles in the outside glass are not a problem either. They are from when the bulb was liquid and formed into shape. It survived from being molten to cooling into the solid and should remain stable.

Any cracks would be serious but smooth little bubbles and the patch on the arc tube are safe.
