Lighting recommendation

What kind of lighting would you recommend for a 4'9"x4'9" scrog?

I think I could fit a 1k bulb in there. Plants woud be 20" from bulb, which would take up roughly 3'4". Leaves 1'5" for plants on all sides.

If that were my space, I would stack a pair of 600's in there and grow a giant weed doughnut..

I was going to suggest at least a 1000 watt, but even that seemed too little. 2 600's would be ideal.

Did you edit? maybe I'm stoned, didn't see the single 1k idea there when I replied. single 1k would work but I bet your yield would be better with 2 bulbs because of the width of the room. This would let you take advantage of vertical space, a 600w will hammer that space vertical bare bulb. You have alot less width than you think to work with growing doughnuts.. Height is key with these spaces.

No I didn't edit, was just mulling through the ideas in my head. He said he wanted scrog so usually that means horizontal grow, hence the 1k. But I was thinking the light footprint from the reflector wouldn't be optimal. If I had that space I'd definitely be going doughnut vert style.

I posted this in a vertical forum so I thought you guys would get the idea. But yes this would be a vertical scrog.

I think stacking would be a problem. The 4'9" dimensions are from a tent that I'm looking at. And the height on the tent is only 6'7".

I guess I should ask what the idea grow space is for a 1000w vertical scrog.

Aero, I'm checking your grow out right now. Very nice. Giving me some good ideas . You have 6' x 6' going without scrogging. I'm guessing a 5' x 5' would be ideal for a 1k scrog. What do you think?

Well, I have stacked bulbs and I am not using 6' of vertical space, I might try to use more vert space next time.. 6'7" would work

IMO, ideal space for a 1k single bulb vscrog would be 8X8 so you could work from behind but it could be done in your space too with some hard work..

Alright cool. 2 600s stacked sounds good to me. Maybe I could run a stadium with indicas. Can't wait til Sweet Tooth comes out again.
