lighting question sun VS 150w hps

ok so i have some plants that are starting to flower...i have a house that has passive solar windows which allow lots of natrual sunlight in...do you think i would benefit by puttting my plants in the sunlight on sunny days VS leaving them under my 150w hps think i would yield more???


there in soil and im using gh nutes lucas formula

Thats what I do with mine is put them in the sun on sunny days and I got a 400w hps. Natural sunlight is the best light source.

IMO i get much fatter buds indoors than out. Granted, plants can get huge outdoors because of the pure space, but size for size my plants grown under a 1000w get much fatter colas than anything i've grown outdoors, i guess it depends on your location too, but still. Although, since you are using a 150w hps, then outdoors is probably the way to go. If it was me i would just keep it inside, but if you don't mind the extra work on sunny days then go for it.

I would say that the sun is probably better than a 150w hps, but I have only done a couple of grows so I may be wrong, and you also have to be careful about the light\dark cyle times when using natural light....

if its not direct the whole time i wouldnt bother. but just make sure its direct sun light

It depends on your area, but mainly for a 150w light...yes the sun would generally be better for them. BUT, i personally prefer my 1000w over the sun. Where i live the sun isn't that strong, even regular flowers and plants don't grow very well in my location. It also comes down to quality also. I prefer indoor grown bud alot better, i can control the environment so it's the perfect temperature and humidity. I don't have to worry about the weather or nearly as many pests.
