lighting ? on auto's when to switch to hps

i know auto's are 20/4 or even 24/0 but if using T5's for veg and 600 hps for flowers should one wait 2 weeks to put under hps? 1 week? or straight from seedling? I have searched but cant seem to find answer.

When you see sex and transplant to a larger pot I would give them 4-5 days to recover. Then change over to the bigger light and keep it alittle further away for a couple days to adjust to the stronger and hotter light.

I am far from a veteran, but going by most of the AF strain descriptions, you have around 2 weeks of vegetive growth from sprout. Then most will go straight into flowering, about 6-8 weeks depending on the type you are growing. Couldn't find anything specific about the Kush Ryder, but the two weeks should be safe.

And as SaH pointed out, start the HPS out further away in the beginning. I cooked the top of one of my best girls a little when I first switched over.

I used 150w blue flourescent for three weeks then switched to 400w hps (Afgan Kush Ryder). I think they showed at around 30 days. No significant budding yet at 35 days.
