Light Leaks: AutoFlower or 12/12 from seed

Autoflower strains shouldn't be an issue
For non-autos, you can grow 12/12 for as long as you want to, but with light leaks your plant may never flower. The plant needs approximately 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness to flower properly, which it won't get. If it's a very small light leak, you may manage to flower the plant but you do run an increased risk of hermis.
You've come this far, getting grow lamps, extraction, genetics, carbon filter etc. (I'm assuming). Don't mess it up for the sake of not spending a bit of time properly light-proofing your cabinet.
you could grow an auto on 24/7 light schedule from seed to harvest , im not saying this is advisable but i have been reading that mdanzig recommeneds his autos flourish on this light regime, not all autos will have the same effect im a big believer in that plants need a dark period as certain things happen when the lights go out 
if you try to grow autos or any other strain on say an 18/6 or a 12/12 light cycle and you have light leaks in your grow room then your just asking for trouble and i wouldnt bother attempting to grow untill id got the problem fixed, last thing you want is hermie plants

el toker- yea you're right, i need to put down the bong and stop being lazy! was just a little anxious to getting started asap
skotty- yea i will fix those leaks and then start either autoflower or 12/12 from seed. i had read on icmag that for vegging plants (18/6-24/0) light leaks do not really affect the plants so was assuming it would work with autoflower? well, better to be totally safe and just go with light proof anyways, will def be a wise choice.
