Light Interruption during flowering

My plants have been flowering for 35 days and the power went out and returned during the dark cycle. Once I noticed it returned(2hrs interruption) I shut the lights off and I plan to leave them dark for 24hrs and then continue with the cycle normally. Will this help?

thay will be fine mate..you dont have to put them under 24dark just carry on as you would

I agree. 2 hours shouldn't hurt.

If it had been longer I would have recommended it, but you should be fine.
Open em up a bit late if you like. Give them a short day if you really want to do something.

How did that happen? Are you using a digital timer without a battery backup or something?

Ok, so I have a similar problem..
I am using an Intermatic T103 and the "On" tripper somehow came loose and was just hanging at the bottom of the dial. This box is normally closed and I hadn't checked to make sure the lights were off at the appropriate time, nor been around when they were coming on for a while.
Today I noticed that the lights were on when they should be off..
I don't know how long the on tripper was loose but the plants are in varying stages of flowering, the most advanced are about 25 days in. I suspect it was only the last few days (5 maximum), however the minimum was probably at least 10 hours of HID. I flipped the lights off and they will come back on normally in an hour or so.

I wonder if anyone has had a similar problem, and if I'm going to have to go on hardcore nanner watch now? C'est la vie..

A minor light interuption will not affect flowering. Just return to normal 12/12 photoperiod

Che-10 hours and 5 days is a bit of a difference. Deffinatly be on the lookout for male flowers and you may end up with some deformed growth and a longer flwering time if the light period was interuppted long enough to trigger the signal for vegetative growth.

Yes no worries guys, if it happens constantly then I would worry. Also if your strain is very sensitive there might be a little stress but go back to normal routines all should be good!

So it looks like a few of my younger plants have gone hermi as a result of the snafu mentioned above. The older plants, and possibly more resilient strains, are still doing well.

Che- maybe you could cut the hermies back and re-veg them...

Have ya'll seen those GE timers? 15 amp, grounded, and the little pegs don't ever come out. You just push down all the pegs when you want the light to come on. I got some for $3 each. I was an Intermatic fan, but hate keeping up with those pins. The GE model could come on and off every 15 minutes, if you wanted. Pretty good deal for $3, of course this is for the low tech grower!
