this experiment could be interesting with autoflowers to save up on lights cost

Photoperiod vs Intensity: PPFD / DLI Experiment (Hydroponic Lettuce LED Lights)

I'mback

Comfortably numb!
Take away from the vid. Different plants have different needs. How does that apply to cannabis? I have only grown autos twice. 2nd time around an 18/6 produced 3 times better than my 1st run where I didn't know any better and ran a 12/12 schedule. Is this significant? I don't know. One thing I do know, once my auto seeds are done, I won't be growing them anymore. They might have their place for some but not for me.

Imagine running a 24hr flowering cycle but having your light further away and he was still getting tip burn. Having spent a fair amount of time in the land of the midnight sun. The sun changes intensity during the course of a day! If one could program a timer to adjust light intensity over the course of a day, to closely mimic mother nature. That IMO would be worth investigating. Beans are more expensive than lettuce. :tiphat:
