Greetings. I plan to do a largish run of seeds in a greenhouse using light deprivation to finish flowering late June/early July at the 35th. From my own experience I plan on NepJam. i am interested in other strain suggestions?
Thanks for response. I grew Bangui Haze last year and was disappointed. Both grown outside in the ground, BH finished much later then nep jam, had 1 plant hermie, and was not mould resistant.
Panama is intriguing, worry that it will take too long to finish. Are there differences between
Fem, regular or Cannabiogen's Pela Rosa in terms of consistent finishing times? How long do these need to veg?
It depends what your goals are but if yield and finishing time is a major factor Orient Express was a huge producer for me and fast finisher. It easily doubled the yield of the Nep Jam which was above average itself. My only real complaint about it is that it was a complete nightmare to trim. Lots of little leaves that needed to go plus extremely sticky, glue-like resin made for a lot of mess and time spent but I guess its kind of silly to complain about a plant having too much sticky THC resin. It was easy to grow, and moderately stretchy. Good clean sociable effect but with some tiredness and a bit of indica low in the come down. Moderately strong. It starts as a light feeder but finishes as a nutrient hog in flower.
If you had trouble with BH finishing late you probably will have similar issues with Panama. From what I have read the Panama is up to several weeks later finishing than BH. It's not particularly long for a pure sativa but if you are used to indica turn around times then it will be a bit of a shock.
Im intrigued to know the packing date of the bangi haze you grew, it's usually a very consistant and very mold resistant strain although after so much inbreeding there are some less vigorous individuals or mutations can be found, it's not our most hermie free sativa, even after many generations some hermie plants can pop, i'd like to outcross the best bangi haze individuals in the future to restore vigour and avoid the inbreeding problems and then backcross the line back to fix again her personality.
For your greenhouse and to force the flowering i would recommend you strains with short-moderate flowering times and good mold resistance: Congo, Nepal Jam, Orient Express, Panama, Tikal or Zamaldelica.
Let us know if you have any doubt choosing your strains for this season.
