what do you think? These gals are just ten days young. I had them about one inch from the light. I transplanted two days ago from Peat pellots to BioBizz all mix. I have not feed them anything yet. Only distilled water. Is the soil too hot maybe..It's not happening on the tallest plants either. Hummmm??? Temps are about 82F. Thanks for any help.

Any more info you could share on the lighting setup? Seems like T8 fluoros to me. How many watts? Color spectrum. You might be able to get away with moving the lights to 2", and see if that improves things.

Despite my worries, my conclusion was to leave it and see how they progress. Day two seems to find them growing out of it and the burns have not progressed.. They seemed happy today, but as quick as i grew them(12days) that's how long it took for GNATS to find their way to my box..Not too much of a surprise..We live in nature!
So i got some sticky trap for the gnats and i'm also going to spray the soil with neem oil tomorrow..Are they too young for this??I mean will i harm them and their roots if i spray neem oil on to the soil?
Any advice on how much to spray would help. Here's a picture, they are in 3 inch pots..They are growing!!

El Cabong..I am using 78w flouros, daylight. I really don't think it was light distance cuz there were taller plants that did not burn..and obviously they were closer to the light..Nature is on my side at the moment..Thank you.

I keep seedlings in seedling soil with no added nutes until 3 weeks old .

It puts the seedlings in a bin or else it gets the hose again.

Oh yeah, all the seedlings look fine, I wouldnt worry about a little spot or two. When the spots get plentiful and uniform, then its time to worry.

No neem oil should be fine at that stage... but I've been battling Gnats forever now... shit I thought Mites were the Borg until I started doing battle with these little fuckers!!!

Every kind of pesticide you can think of - THEY JUST KEEP COMING BACK!!!

I ordered some Gnatrol a while back, time to use it, hope it works...

thanks skeezo, yeah the ladies pushed on ahead quite strong and are now on their third set of leaves with no more visible scaring or burning..
So i sprayed them down a few days ago with neem, some drops of h2o2, and a little dish soap to disperse the oil. Seemd to have worked so far..Gonna keep applying every fourth day for two weekes to get the neem into the the ladies..
Here are some of the babies at two weeks(from seed) :lurk:
