light and seedlings

i say like 12" to 18" to start then lower them after they get strong.
or use a couple of cfls to start them and then use the 250watt

hang the 250watt about 70/100cm away (they say 140 if just out propagator)

seedlings are too young for HID lights.. 70 will be fine
btw a 250 and im used to these,, should be 12" away when flowering mature plants !

sorry damnwhatsmyname if u just have a 250 to start u should keep it atleast little bit over 2feet,,.... george j warner is right ,,i went brain dead for sec.i quickly underestimated the distance :bashhead: :spank:
thnx george :wave: i agree that Hid lighting is too strong for seedlings,,and u should start with cfl's if u can

Put the light as close as possible to get the maximum amount of light intensity. Use the back of your hand as a judge to figure were to put the light. If the light is to hot for your hand its to hot for the plants. :wave:
