So I needed to get some dirt to transplant some moms, I also needed to buy some 6 inch ducting, clamps, and a few five gallon buckets. Now I could have bought this all at one store easily. But I decided to buy the dirt at a different store and all the duct work and buckets at another.

Would you do the same? Or buy everything at one store? Let me know what you think and what little things you won't buy at the same time.

I don't think it's a big thing to buy it all together but it totally depends on where you live.

Every place, city, situation is different.

Rule #1 - go with your gut (Ok, fine, Rule #4, after don't tell, sell, smell).

If your instincts tell you that the hardware store might dial the local LEOs on your purchasing patterns, then go with that instinct, because it's probably right, even if in 90% of the rest of the US nobody would put 2+2 together.

Yeah, I wouldn't care if it was home depot or something. They are more interested in the fact that you are buying, I doubt they have the resources to flush out pot farmers. Even if they did, would they call? I doubt it.

i would buy all things together where are cheap and good quality ... they couldn't know if you are pot farmer/planter or just farmer/planter .
but if you feel safer if you buy in different stores only one things thats also good ... better save then sorry =)

Why would I be paranoid to go to home depot w/their self check out lanes, where I purchased 12 400 watt mh bulbs and had no one even look at me twice?

I would always split things up. You don't know when an off duty LEO or born again freak will notice this. I see people all the time loading up tubing & hydro shit & say to self, "Bad idea dude!" This day & age everybody can add those figures up.
