Okay, i'm still starting seedlings and moving them outdoors. That is fixing to come to an end, I will be germing my last round soon and I have some things to discuss about this matter.
The maximum grow season left for me now, that I am predicting anyways, is November 1st. I know the girls can handle some heavy frost because I have first hand experience. What I would like to know is how to force flower a seedling asap. I know how to 12/12 from seed but that still takes around a month before seeing sex.
I have an idea, but not sure if it will work. I'm not worried as much about determining the sex of the plant, just concerned about getting it to switch to flowering asap. What if say I have some one week old seedlings, I veg them under 24 hour lighting for a week or two get them a good start and then put them in 12/12? What if I get them a couple weeks 12/12 and then put them in total darkness for a few days then switch back to the current outdoor lighting regimen at that time?
I think I have heard about doing a week or two veg and people putting them in like 8/16 for about a week and then switching back to either 24 or 18/6. I would like for everything to start flowering by September 1st to get my ladies to finish by November 1st.
I know yield will be small, but many of these ladies broadcasted out into patches of 70-80 plants will surely bring in some weight in the long run.
