Less time for MGJ

Hi Folks
Just a FYI for those that may wonder where I am these days. For about a month now I've been having problems with one wrist, tendonitis and arthritis is what the doc thinks. Since conservative measures haven't helped, I'm on keyboard restriction for now - since I work with 'puters for a living, I have to lay low when I am at home. Doc claims a minimum of a month of restricted activity at this point.

I'm allowing myself one hour a night to check email and such, so I'll pop in every other day or so for a quick read.

My spirits are high - :biglaugh: - very thankful for the TW I grew out this summer - some nights that's the only way I can get a decent night's rest.

Anyway - that's the story. Can't wait to be back in the fray every day again!

All my best -MGJ

Sorry to hear of your pains,,, hubby is going through pain in his hands and wrists too,, he just went to the Dr. yesterday and she determined that it may be due to a pinched nerve in his neck:confused: he thought it was Carpul-tunnle (sp?) but we'll see when e gets his x-rays done.
Hoping your pain will lessen double-time for ya hun! Cya round the boards ,,maybe. ..lol

sorry to hear about that, sir!

take it easy over there, the longer you cheat, the longer it will take you to get back to 100%...you knew that though!

we'll 'see' you when you are well enough.

peace.

Take it easy MGJ - I've had carpal tunnel syndrome for about 12 years. Behaving myself on the computer whenever possible has helped me avoid surgery, but Sleepy is right - the more you cheat, the longer it will take before you feel better. I learned that the hard way myself. I use computers for a living and for a hobby; I figured I'd better find a hobby that didn't include computers, so I started growing again. :D Maybe not legal, but better for my health!

Bonzo, Chamba, TC, Alex, GMT, FJ, JD - thanks one and all... Now an update.

It's one of those good news bad news updates. Tendonitis is better, but now I have a few wrist joints in both hands that are being a bother. Rheumatologist thinks I have one of the systemic arthritis disorders, probably psoriatic arthritis, now running tests and starting a med which might work but takes 8-12 weeks to be sure.

Good news you ask? Well I've had joint and tendon problems for years and assumed it was just the wonderful and glorious gifts of middle age :badday: . Turns out they could all be related to this one thing, and once the right med is found I should be in a lot better shape all around. :woohoo:

So I'm still puttering along, once I get a little more relief in my hands I'll post the new grow, now in the early stages.

Stay well and have a great weekend! -MGJ

Babba - thanks sooo much for your kind words. I'm very optimistic, and promised myself a nice road trip when joints start behaving.

So guess I'll be :lurk: a bit more than posting, but very happy to be able to do that!

You and the family have a great weekend my friend!
