Less than 12 h at night for flowering?

Hi everyone,
I was thinking, could reducing the nigh time increase yield in the end?I mean reducing the nigh time less than what it need to prevent the plants to enter flowering stage.I searched on the forum and internet but couldn't fond any proper answer.

I guessed that the more light the more photosynthesis the more dry matter , but on the other end less night time egals less flowering signal and less dry matter
So what is the predominant effect?
I bet that it depends on the genetics to make it easier^^
