Saw leon twice. The first was at RFK Stadium in DC. The New Riders opened. The owner of the Redskins vowed that no one would get on the infield. The first note of the New Riders everyone poured onto the field lead by a guy with a marijuana leaf flag on a pole. Leon had some wild looking Sly Stone guy dancing on his piano. There was a lot of LSD being given out in droppers. Also saw Leon with the New Grass Revival at the Cellar Door in DC.

He was there at the beginning of rock and roll. When Joe Cocker died and you looked at the Mad Dogs and Englishmen mess on stage, there's Leon. Huge roots. Thanks for the tunes.
