LEO? I dont get it.

Hey,

I've only been to this forum for maybe a week now, and I see people making some reference to "LEO". I know its some form of representation to police/government, but is there a reason we use "LEO"? I've never heard of this reference before on another marijuana forum to which I belong. Could someone clarify? Thanks, and sorry for unintentional ignorance. Peace.
