So just because you legalize cannabis in your state does not mean sales will not be banned where you live.
Or like in some states, if you live to close to a dispensary you are not able to grow at home.

Here comes mail order cannabis.

Is this the best Legalization model we can hope for?
What are your thoughts?

I didnt see this coming...seems like a half assed farce.
More control, more money, I hate to admit it
I was hopeful, now not so much.
Nothing I can do but wait and see if I live in one of these banzones that are popping up left and right. I should have known they would only make it more complicated...more in their favor.

I think its great technically more peopke have access to the herb they need...but by doing so also trying to corner the market and keep the police state strong against us as they weed us out just doesn't sit right with me.

The powers that be cannot, in any way, shape or form, ban personal growing.

Seems that way.
At least Coloradans can grow their own. In a limited way...
And
I still dont consider it "legalized" in CO.

i expected it b/c look at history...........as prohibition of alcohol ended not every county or state allowed the sale of alcohol.

there are still many dry counties around the country so why should Cannabis legalization be treated any different............jmo

good points, Morcheeba. when it all settles out after all of the lawsuits (there WILL be lawsuits) it will be much with pot as it is with alcohol. in the remaining dry areas, you still get to make your own beer, wine etc, and can drink hard liquor bought elsewhere legally. they just do not legally SELL it there. when the dust settles, in areas that do not allow dispensaries nor commercial growing, i predict you will still be able to grow your own regardless of panic spreading sensationalists here and elsewhere on the internet. just because some backwards dickheads passed a law does not mean that it cannot be overturned in court by a competent atty.:dance013: the march towards freedom keeps on moving, one step at a time. Moses never got to the Promised Land, you know. but he DID get his people there...:woohoo:

Such an oxymoron...you can grow but many communities don't want brick & mortar dispensaries. Or statutes 'not in town'. Ahhhh, Colorado.

for some people, "legalization" means "no fucking rules whatsoever, feel free to do any damn thing you want & no one will or can say or do anything about it". that is, of course, not what being legal is all about... being legal means FOLLOWING the regulations/rules that are put in place whether you agree with them completely or not. don't like the rules? work toward getting them changed or get used to looking over your shoulder for the law...:tiphat:

The most important part of it all is that limited possession & cultivation are legal for adults. Closely behind that is that our MMJ system has also been preserved.

We're still in the figuring it out phase. Well, at least more conservative communities are, anyway. What we're seeing is that legalization has very little negative impact if any. Yeh, sure, we've known that all along, but they didn't given all the bullshit used to justify prohibition. That stuff will linger awhile but it's beyond obvious that reefer madness has not occurred. Over time, I think that they'll cease to care about it.

Its absurd how the "leviathan" can dictate what you do in your bedroom... these banzones are absurd, but say we make a concession, they cannout outright ban an individual smoking in his basement in his own house, that just seems unconstitutional. I understand and respect a ban about smoking in public, but not being able to grow your own is just crazy
