Hey everyone, i had the pleasure of meeting up with fellow Ic'er Brightside on xmas eve and returned with a lovely bud of Leda Uno from him (as well as some cheese, which i have already reported on previously). When I decided to treat myself to that present today I thought it apt to gift SmokeyPufmaster and the smoke report forum with a report so here goes.
!st a pic of the bud in question.

The smell of the bud is a very sweet fragrent lemony smell, not a citrusy type of lemon though the smell is much more mellow and smooth.
The taste is very reflective of the smell, a soft, slightly sweet lemon.....very smooth on the throat and chest with comfortable expansion.
The stone is a lovely one the immediate effects are incresed awareness of the heart beat and slight racyness to it, then i could feel my pulse through my whole body.....especially in the chest, head and arms.........gradually a nice body stone then crept in and a nice sense of pleasentness and slight calmness, very pleasent and enjoyable buzz that i would deem suitable for all the time smoke.......its effects are very pleasent and dont think it would mess your day up or have you feeling lazy, although it is great for relaxing when appropriate. As i finish writting this report and still being under the effects of the Leda Uno i have now noticed that my breathing has slowed quite considerably and i am still quite aware of my heart beat in my chest.
Overall a very nice smoke, as always from Brightside it was grown beautifully and smoked extremely well, burnt great and had a great flavour......also the bud was very sticky.

I grew a pack of Leda Uno, circa 1995, I bought them in a grow shop opposite the train station in Amsterdam...the grow shop was called Interpolm but the seed breeder escapes me right now..I know it wasn't KC Brains..it might of been "High Class" seeds or a similar name??..it might of been seeds bought from KC, repackaged and sold retail??..I and other friends grew out several packets bought from Interpolm..white widow, northern lights and others....all grew into good plants

the above smoke report was a mirror of my experience with the strain....up, happy, good high and everyone liked the taste, how it made them feel and the very positive vibes from Leda Uno,,there's def something about Leda...and was a dream to grow as well..I've been kicking myself ever since that I didn't take clones at the time...the crosses with other hydrids were not as good as the original L. U....such is life

somebody should grow out several packets, select and make seed and put out their own version of this strain as there is something special about the high from Leda Uno....an uplifting positive feeling that is missing from many strains that have been bred for strong potency that only fog the brain and do little to delight and tend to numb and dumb things down

(Leda wasn't she daughter of Zeus?)

secret room you are correct - it was k.c

the mr. nice strain i was thinking about was la nina... my mistake

here is the description

leda uno - KC, Brazilian and Thai genetics form the bulk of this sativa/indica (60/40) hybrid. Indoor growers who enjoy working with bigger plants will truly appreciate this sturdy, hyperactive producer of deliciously citric buds that pack a pleasantly mean punch to the head in roughly sixty days flowering. Outdoors, she prefers dry conditions to wet, and will grow to impressive heights -- greater than twelve feet -- making this lovely hybrid a bitch for visual stealth but worth it in terms of a generous yield for those who can pull it off. A nice, mood-enhancing social buzz warms the smoker immediately. With truly vigorous pest resistance and a fearless growth habit, this durable hybrid has a forceful personality that makes cultivation a joy.

Hi True

Hi True

When you said gifted to Smokeypufmaster I thought I was getting a bud. :pointlaug Thanks for that report, I'm greatful to hear what Brightside is up to. And how his buds turn out. It's also one of the first good reports I've read on KC's strains. Glad it turned out so well. Thanks!

I had grown mostly Thai landrace plants for years then grew Leda Uno....I'm surprised to read it has any Thai genes in there...there's nothing even remotely Thai in any aspect of the growth, taste, smell or high from the pack I grew out...but maybe it's the Brazilian influence that makes the high so special?...
