Hey mate, looking good, got some shots of the whole garden?

Glad you figured out that problem.

Actually ordered my own led the other day from growledhydro, lots of stuff on his products on 420 mag and he put out new models just last months he has been refining, does not making ridiculous claims neither. Just a 150w for now to see how she goes.

Heya BK, welcome to the LED fold. You might find better pics in my journal of my garden. The GLH lights seem to get a good wrap, make sure you keep us posted on your progress. You have one foot wet, now you need another LED to avoid just hanging light above plants and take advantage of how LED works imo. Hope to see some pics of your progress as well.
As noted here, both lights hit both plants as example, but usualy there are 4 plants in there.

Heya Ninja, you got that right!
The beauty of LEDs is the space you can grow in, hope your grow does well, looking forward to some pics.

Not sure what you mean exactly by needing another led to take more advantage of how they work?

Have got some DP strawberry cough fem seeds, will just be going with two plants, will top and try and SOG, probably veg then longer than typical (in no hurry) and if I can get 100g I will be stoked; not a high yielding strain but after the specific smoke, party for med reasons as well.

Cheers.

You can see in the above pic where the lights are mounted on the sides. The canopy of one plant and the mid to lower section on another palnt is lit by one light. By adding another you can do same from the other side meaning double dip lighting. I noticed decent increases in yeild with this method compared to just overhead lighting. Its only a theory but makes sense to make use of useable light, even the light designer has gravitated to this method.

Ah ok, as you know the Dutch guy who does the custom builds basically has a total enclosure of leds. I could fit a larger panel into my space but doubt I could mount a couple like that.

Will see how we go anyway, at the end of the day Ill have some great smoke which is all that matters :D

Hey thanks Bundy, these leds are paying for themselves with nice results, im more than pleased. Imagine trying to grow hooter outdoors in Tassy, its difficult with our short season and often very wet for weeks on end. After about 5 years of fluffing around with mixed results I gave up hehe
My SC99 grow should tell if these lights are working well, they are about half way according to my journal. :)

Yeah i hear ya mate, i have a friend in Tas, mostly indoor tho, bio buckets and is the only way to grow there, too cold, wet, snow all sorts of shit weather there. Yep i look forward to your next SC99 pics mate, blown away from the results your getting there, very nice.

Thanks mate, the system is running smooth as silk, they are drinking around 15 litres a day now, somethings as simple as this always work well and little maintainance and labour required. I am building a new pipe soon, few little changes to make my flushing easier each week, will be a 300mm stormwater pipe, much the same basic setup. Thanks for the kind words.

baa
I had 2 lights in the tent, one was driving 1W diodes at 110W and another light driving 3W diodes using 162W. Since other plants have finished i dropped it to one light.
Now my cab has 2x 110W leds and the tent has 2x 160W leds.

Here is what is going on in the cab atm.

On the right are 2x SC99(a) at 38 days and on the left is 2x SC99(b) at day 29 and 27 and using 2x 110W LED.
I have a few PPP in early veg and in the process of popping some satori seeds from mandala to give 4x SC99(a) i have in the tent some bad company.

Thanks Bundy, the pics were taken with a 10 megapixel camera, but when resized, then IC resized the results are pretty blurry, probably help if they were taken with the lights off too. When your looking at the plants under lights, the purple doesnt seem as noticeable as the pics, possibly how my camera figures the white balance.
Just showing how you can have acceptable results with 55W per plant thats been veged for a month using ~12W each.
Cant wait to see how PPP and satori perform in dirt, i dont think SC99 likes my dirt, probably due to some recycling going on which needs to stop. PH is a mystery also, after reading up on buying a meter, i decided its not worth the effort with all the farking around with calibrating and replacing tips/sensors regulary. So its KISS for this black duck who is only feeding his own habbit.
I will update with better pics when the flowers are bigger.
