So we use the Perfect Sun Goliath LED, older model, they have made a newer model and all Goliaths have since been discontinued including the newer models. It allegedly replaced 1000w HID. It's a good light, I'd never buy Perfect Sun again because the customer service is non existent and the light runs hot as fuck and I swear the light isn't evenly distributed, though weve had great results, it doesn't seem worth the money. It was $900-$1200 if I'm not mistaken. Fuck that... I know more now
Anyway last grow we had the gorilla grow tent with extension, 4'x4'x8'. This grow, we had height constraints, 10x13'x7' ceiling room where we use the tent, no extension, 4'x4'x7'. Plants were doing dandy, emerald green, praying, room felt happy. Honestly this is our best grow.. I didn't think the height would be a problem, however our smallest plants are almost the the same size as the plants from previous grows. Most plants were pretty much bigger than every previous plant was at harvest and we're running these gals to be harvested around Sept 20 and End of Sept/early Oct. I'm happy.. Our soil is money and our water is money. Had shit soil and 8.0pH last run... caught pH issue way late.
Then as they got older and stretched more I was like fuck, it looks like we might need a bigger boat. I Really was happy with the last grow and how they looked despite the issues that transpired. I had no clue how terribly stressed they were until we ran the same autos and saw the size differences and vigor when little to no stress is presented.
Only one plant had slight signs of burn, then over 3 days everyone had huge growth spurts and we had a problem. 5 plants now had signs of burn instead of just 1. Initially I wasn't sure if it was a nitrogen issue on the one plant with slight burn as our pepper plants had burn on some leave tips (same soil and first time using our super soil we made so I wasn't sure if it was balanced properly) . I wanted to wait a few days, In the past I jumped at the sight of "deficiencies" when it was just a pH problem, that then got exacerbated by overfeeding nutes the plant doesn't need. It Wasn't nitrogen, the Peppers needed more water and the burn stopped. Once 5 showed signs of burn I measured the height from light to canopy and it was less than 3 feet more like 2.5ft, which is a huge no no with the Goliaths, they were getting cooked. In hind sight I should have checked the light height because I was already worried (too deaths in the family in a month has my head useless) I had no help and couldn't so shit for a few days.. lights too obnoxiously big to finagle by your self. Let alone hardware setup on the ceiling.
When help arrived, we dropped the tent, screwed wood to the ceiling and put hooks to secure the light, giving us about a foot of crucial height. That day, every lady was praying ... swear to God the second the light was at proper height you could sense relief from the plants.. theyre still chugging along, bounced by fine. they're monsters.. the GSC auto and Tonic Ryder are BUSHES... like 20 tops no training only leaf tucking. We ran GSC auto (Fast Buds) and Tonic Ryder (World of Seeds) before, GSC once before and TR 3 times. This TR is larger than our largest TR when it was chopped and she has 4 to 5 weeks left plus she's purpling as of a week ago, 3 previous TR purpled out the last 2 weeks. Fucking nuts. Lol the cookies is literally 10x+ the size of first run when she got hurd bad by pH.. both look like they're gonna be 4oz+ plants. God willing. No whammies please.
With that being said, do I need to throw them some amendments? They have 4 to 6 weeks approx. Potentially a little more, I chop em whenever they're ripe to our likeness not by dates, everything is approximate. I've never dealt with light burn. It's not horrible by any means. It was dealt with swiftly though not as swift as I would've wanted.
I was gonna a do alfalameal molasses ewc blend tea.. yay or any? Anything else I may need or not? Peace and thanks
