Hi. I'm new on these boards, but there's a question I've been kicking around since I first made pot cookies many years ago.
In most butter preparations I've read, there is a stage where you sieve the plant matter out of the butter. I've always been wary to do this because I'm afraid of losing potency, plus I just thought it sounded like an unpleasant (hot oil + flesh = ouch) and unnecessary part of an otherwise very easy process. It does give my oatmeal choc chip cookies a little extra sea-weedy flavor, but nothing much IMO.
I wanted to hear other people's opinions on leaving it in.
After all, odds are we can all use a little extra fiber, right?
