Leaves won't open

Two of my newly planted seeds are having issues. I took the seed shell off all of them, but two of them won't unfold their leaves. They're in the bottom right hand of the picture.
also, the plant in the top right with the yellow edge of it's leaves...is this from over or underwatering?

theres a fine membrane attached from the casing if you look closely...be patient water only when the cups are light they are trying to establish roots and need care and attention when they need it......remember to breathe girl its all good!!:)

some just don't get out of the starting blocks it happens but you could maybe have overwatered a touch, the others look alright though,so......shit happens

don't touch, let them appear naturally. only the strong survive(or so we're told).

i'll make my offerings to the plant gods I guess. Thanks guys.
What is the cause of the yellow tip of the leaf in the top right plant??

You have to get them out quickly. As soon as they pop out of the soil spray them with water to soften it and GENTLY nudge it a few times until it comes off. Sometimes you have to give it a few quick sprays to soften it up enough.

You'll notice I replied to your other thread that it's probably too late if it's been a long time.

They may open...if they don't, they'll stay like that for weeks...just standing there, doing nothing.

Next time plant deeper...1/2" in well aerated loose soil.

Some survive and some don't.

You can try scuffing the seeds next time in a matchbox lined with sandpaper or plant deeper as someone else suggested next time to help lose the shell.

I've had seedlings in the past exposed to the outdoor elements as well. That i believe has also helped them lose the seed shells and toughen up a bit too instead of coddling them up like we usually do
when they are young.

:gday:

hey babygirl..just relax..also try misting the seedling LIGHTLY..to help soften the membrane..and if push comes to shove..sue a new razor blade..and CAREFULLY do some surgery on it...try the water mist idea though..

Bye..Clarice....
