Leaves drying up after flowering began???

Hello all, I am a new member to the forum. I am currently doing my first grow. Outdoors in three gallon pots. After my plants started to flower. The majority of the leaves are starting to completely dry up and fall off. Is this normal? I water only when the top 2 inches of the soil dry out. I seem to have that under control. Should I be worried about the leaves that are completely drying out?

My $0.02: I have been growing 2 outdoor plants this season. 1 Indica, 1 Sativa in the same soil. I gave them the same nutes but my Indica remained much more dark green, while my Sativa, turned to a light yellowish-green color with some of the leaves drying up and falling off. On both plants, the buds look healthy so I doubt it has to do with a nutrient deficiency (at least in my case). Something I considered was that the plant might kill off some of it's own leaves since during flowering, growth and photosynthesis are not as necessary and therefor it may not need as many leaves. Just what I observed from my plants... Good luck.
