Leaves curling up !

Guest

I have two plants on the go at the moment (Northern lights ) and they are 3 weeks into veg ,but some of the leaves are curling up and spliting !! What do you think the problem is ? the light is an Enviorlite which is 5 inchs away from the plants ,so i dont think it is a heat problem ? or is it ? I done the same with a white widow grow and everything went perfect !

sorry for the poor picture quality.

Cheers for any input ..... Robbyyt.........

Cheers Juggo for the reply

I have checked the ph and it seemed fine ,i am feeded them biobizz fishmix 1 ml per litre of water ,seems like its to much for them ? Should i just feed them pure water until flowering ?

Thanks Robbyyt ...

any pics? what do you mean curling up and splitting? are the leaves curling from the end towards the stem? or do you mean they are folding up from the edges of the leaf to the center like a book?

if they are folding like a book closing then thats a sign that theres too much heat and they are trying to minimize their profile to conserve moisture. move the lights away some more. if they are curling up like a genies shoes then i dont know what to tell ya ive never heard of or seen that before.

the leafs are curling from the edges in and it the new growth is growing more or less the same.....i wouyld say its nute burn as the other strains are growing perfect. some take to nutes and some dont. I am just going to give it a break from the nutes for a day or 2 and give it just water and hopefully there is some change. thanks 4 the reply mate

Had the same thing on an NLxBB. It was too much heat under the light. Do you have a temp reading at the plant top? Anything over 90 is too hot for them.

Are they curling inwards or outwards?
Up or down?
And how green are your leaves? Are they a dark green?

Err, just read they are curling upwards, I missed that, sorry!
Sounds like possible nute burn, but too hard to tell without more info..

More info like what you feed them is needed, strength and all, how often you feed them, etc ...

Pics would be helpful, but you can check the link by Stitch in my signature for help, great info there!!

Good luck with your plants!!

At the top of the plants its almost always 26 C as i have fans going ,2 hours on and then off for twenty minutes and back on for 2 hours ,all trough ,when the lights are on !
I check the temprature often during the day.

A lot of times a slight curling under with green growth is a sign of slight nitrogen overfert, nothing to really worry about until the tips start to burn.If your PH is cool thats probably what it is

Hey RobbyyT

Does sound a lil like too much N..

Ambient temps are more important to the plant, the root zone matters more that the plants tops IMO, but both are important...

sparkjumper, damn it has been a long time since I have seen ya, good to see ya!!!
