What is the age of your plants? 1 1/2 month, 2 weeks outside
How long have they been in the soil mixture they are in now? 2 weeks
How Tall are the plants? 8 inch
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? veg
What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc) natural
What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot) 1 per pot 1 gallon
What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?) Fox farn
What Nutrient's are you using? E.B. Stone organics, sure start
4-6-2
Total nitrogen 4%
available phospate 6%
soluble patash (k2o) 2%
calcium 9%
sulfur 1%
1.3% humic acid
How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? added to the soil when transplanted 2 weeks ago
How often are you feeding?
have fed once more with several cups water 2 days ago
If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients? na
What order are you mixing your nutrients? (example: veg nutes 1st, bloom 2nd ect)

Is the fan blowing directly at plants?
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist?
Is your water HARD or SOFT? soft
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? Using filtered water, i believe it is revers osmosis
Are you using water from a water softener?
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched?
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when?
Are plant's infected with pest's? no

Only one of the leaves was curling down as of last week, however, after moving onto my roof yesterday in order to get more sun several more fan leaves began to curl down as well, i thought this might be due to heat stress so i put a towel down under the plants in or to reduce heat from the roof.
Thanks for the help in advance!:joint:

it's likely too much heat and or light, plants tend to freak out at changes that drastic.

how long have they been in fox farm? you added more nutes to fox farm when still in veg?

seems like a lot of nutes to me.

Fox Farms for about two weeks, I put a very light amount of nutrient into the hole for the clone when i transplanted.
Yes it is still in veg.
I did have the plant down in my garden where it would get several hours of indirect light in the morning and evening, and now that i moved it to the roof it gets direct sunlight for essentially the entire day. Does that sound like too much light?

My own experience with plants turning their leaves down - but remaining healthy, green and turgid - is that it's an attempt to minimize surface area relative to light. I routinely see it in my clones, and resolve it by lowering their exposure to light (in a cool T5 veg environment) with consistent results. Going indoor to outdoor - in late July - is probably a little bit overwhelming. I wouldn't be surprised to see them take a couple weeks to get it together.

it won't be too much light forever, but when drasticly changing the intensity of the light it's a good idea to gradually do it. needs to get used to it.

and you likely didn't need to add more nutes to the soil, fox farms is pretty rich as it is.

how big a plant we talking about?

Sounds like it was probably getting to much light at this point so i moved it back down into the garden where they will be shaded in the morning and evening. I also won't be giving it any more nutes during veg probably.
brain - how long do you need to reduce light for?
Could i possibly put a sun screen over the plant on the roof

Thanks

I agree, those are harsh condition to throw em into, esp in only one gallon pots. I reckon they'd dry out purty quick like that. That will cause curling. Acouple of pieces of white styrofoam under em for insulation might help keep the pot/root temps down and also from drying out so fast from evaporation. So would bigger ( white ) pots. Food for thought...

Conditioned soft water will also make leaves curl. The salt in it will make the plant go into reverse osmosis, using it's own water to push the salts back out and away. Probly not the case with you, but I saw you were alil unsure about the water thing, so I thought I'd throwin-er out there. lol Good luck! BC

The plants are well watered and the dirt is not dried out.

I checked the water filter system and it is a reverse osmosis system. Should i be using water from my hose?
Thanks B.C.

Nah, as long as yer nutes have plenty of cal, mag, etc... in it you shouldn't have any problems with RO.

If you think it will help? you could put a chair on the west side of the lined up pots, and from 1-2 o'clock in the afternoon on they would purty well be shaded as the shadows get longer. I know, sounds hillbilly. Hey, jus throwin-er out there. lol BC

I put a chair that is slightly transparent like sun cloth and that seems to be working. Only one leaf still has leaves turned down, but all and all it seems to be getting better.

Peace

Thanks all:joint:
