Leave trimming

That's what I was thinking. My last few harvest have been horrible and being a beginner I don't want to trim off some good bud

you want to do the majority of trimming in veg when they goto flower you can still do a little but at that point you really just wanna leave em alone and let them work there majic
its okay to remove dead or mostly dead leaves as it comes up and if you choose you can remove some of the lower small stuff if they arnt getting good light

but if its your first grow just let them grow they know what to do :jump:

Leave the leaves alone!!!!!!!!

Those fan leaves store the nutrients for when the plant needs them most so don't fuck with the leaves, otherwise your fucking your overall yield and potency etc etc up!

Ohhh.. I dont know but i trim in veg and flower fan leaf's and all (if its blocking other tips or buds). I also trim the lower shit off in early flower, oh well my plants seem to be doing fine.

So this means that there is no point in gradual harvesting? I've read on the forum that some people cut the buds at the top of the plant first, then let the lower ones flower for some time.

Use thw analogy of batteries. The energy stored in the leaves the plant will reansorb during flowering. I only remove spent leaves. I have trimmed for size before flowering but not during.

I took the question as Leviticiz and I believe Brainthor did, trimming for final product."Trimming",or as I like to say "removing" non-viable fans during flower is an acceptable practice, they serve no purpose but to add weight and block light.Never remove or trim anything containing chlorophyll, large fans blocking budsites are natural and should be left alone IMO.I finished many a beautiful flower without it getting any direct light, the fans convert the light into food for the flowers. As for the actually trimming,I used to hang the plants in an air-conditioned room for a few days then commence trimming. Now I wait a minimum of one week and usually at least two before I trim up my final product,I just don't dig the "sticky" anymore lol

that's ok particulary if this lower shit is hidden from the light....

appart of that i personnally think that there is no moment during flower when leaf removing is beneficial

all the best

I trim all the dead ones and the lower little ones, but I think I will wait until I flower and cut off the fan leaves when i see buds so I don't screw things up. Thanks all

Leave the leafs alone. Just pick up the dead ones as they go thru their phase and save them for making hash. Store them in an open brown paper bag.

Found on ebay.

I agree with groovy and stoend if by "lower shit" you mean sucker nodes only, especially if the light isnt getting to them like groovy said.I found removing some of these lower nodes 1-2 weeks into 12/12 actually improved my yield and made trimming less of a chore. If by "lower shit" you mean viable fans at the bottom I disagree, you can remove the nodes and still leave viable fans near the bottom.
