Leaky emitters!!! Help

So far I've gone through so much 1/2" line it's not even funny! I know I know , get some goof plugs.... but back to the problem at hand. I've done my feed lines every which way possible. I can't seem to get my emitters to stop leaking,I've tried making a pilot hole with a finishing nail, then threaded the emitter in,then I gooped the hell out of it, it leaked! I tried pushing the emitter straight in and threading it in the rest of the way, then gooping the hell out of it, it leaked! I tried not gooping it, it leaked! What the hell is going on! The last time I used emitters, it was a tedious long process, but I never had any leaks though. I`m completly out of ideas! Looking for some help!
Thanks in advance.

Well, after a long and painfull experience,I think I'm just going to run my feedlines internally. The leaks from the emitters are small enough I think that it's not really going to affect the pressure,it's just drops from the base of the emitter. The only problem is that the feedlines won't be easily accessible, but other then that I can't really see any other drawbacks.Does any one else run internal feedlines? and if so,what problems if any do they run into?

Apperntly I'm talking to my self in this thread but that's fine, wouldn't be the first time!
So I figured out the problem after many many hours of putting up my feed lines, taking them down and putting a new set of feelines ect. I'm almost embarrassed that I didn't think of this before!PLUMBERS TAPE! A little plumbers tape goes a long way on sealing threads up,and now it's sealed this thread up! later

Well, I'm glad you figured the issue out. It wasn't until this last post of yours that I realized you were screwing emitters into hard PVC. For some reason I thought you were using 1/2" flexible hose. (But then, I'm weird)

Edit: Yes plumbers (teflon) tape is awesome! :) I also use it to hold broken stems to a splint. :)

Lol! I was actually talking about 1/2" vinyl or flex hose.I really don't understand why they were leaking this time, cause all the other times that I've used emitters I never used teflon tape, and if you could see my index finger tip and my thumb tip you would totally know that this was not my first time screwing thoses little fu#*ers in!!!! lol. I think I have perma calis on those to fingers alone! But the problem seems to be corrected and I'm happy once again!!! lol
