two nights ago everything was fine, i just checked her out tonight, and my leafs are going upward, looks like their trying to cover the bud from getting light. i tried searching on here for some answers, but didn't really see anything that looked like mine. any ideas?
I would guess too much heat. Get her out an flush the soil, reservoir or whatever, and get her in a fresh medium. Then put her under a few CFLs somewhere cool, but don't mess up her light cycle.
thanks magic, that makes sense, because, i left my cover on them last night my accident, so it very well could be heat, i added another fan, and am leaving the door open to the little cubby tonight.
kinder, yea, pics suck, my digi cams batteries died, it's my camera phone, but i think you still get the picture...i would give the details \ specs but, i think it is the heat issue...
Dude, that picture looks like it's fake the picture looks like it was taken with the plant upside down like you just chopped it.not once have I ever seen a plant have it's leaves that high before, no way would it do something like that extreme and I have seen tons of plants before, that picture looks like gravity has taken it over. Not to mention those leaves are not going to perk up in the air like that overnight or in 2 days..... cannabis has the tendency to raise it's leaves when it's needs are met and it's happy, but nothing like this have I ever seen.
If in fact that plant actually did do that, your temps would have to be over 100 in the grow room and have lots of heat all around the plant not just the top, the lower leaves are even showing it which is another reason something is very fishey about these pics.
Heat and not enough water would be the issue if this problem is in fact real, then your plants are suffering from extreme heat and not enough water due to high temps.
Stich, relax yo. I have had plants do this before. It's not fake. It just takes a lot of heat. I'm not sure all of the exact conditions needed, but it definitely does happen.
Magic you got pics of that problem? The picture just looks odd, like the picture was taken upside down just the way as if gravity had a hold of it when kept in place..... it just looks like something that is hung upside down, can't explain it anymore than I can now that it just looks fake.
I checked my photo folders and can't find any examples. It's rare, but sometimes the leaves climb like that. Usually the heat has to be really bad. I think maybe the ozone from the CFLs was having a role too. From what the poster said, this plant was left covered and not ventilated. I suspect ozone might be a factor, but it's also definitely the heat. I had the same thing happen a couple years ago during the summer when the AC was out.
hey guys, sorry for not updating, i've been busy...
spo, that's what i did that night, i opened up my little cab, and gave her a big ol' drink of h2o
stitch, lol, it's a real picture, i had to take it with my iphone camera, my digi cam's batteries died...i think it was too much heat, like i said, i had left a cover deal over my little cab by accident one night, and that's what happened, everything was fine, and in a night or two, it did that...
hey magic, yea, it had to be the heat from my cfls, i've left the doors open the last few nights, and added another fan...
if i get the chance, i'll upload some pics of how she's doing tonight, the leafs are still going up, but not nearly as bad
thanks for the help also guys, this is my first soil grow...and my first cfl grow at that, i had been using dwc in a much larger area with a couple 400s and proper ventilation, but now am forced into working with a much smaller area with less access to ventilation and such...
