leaf tips curling under

Hi all .
I havent been a member long and was hoping to do a proper intro but life is complicated at present .
Anyway here goes with this weeks problem .
I do have a small amount of spider mites and have predators arriving so am thinking this is not the issue.

The real issue is that growth in my plants is stunted and slow while the tips are small and feeble and leaf tips are curling under. There doesnt seem to be any yellowing or spots .


I am using a semi aero system ( got the plans on OG years ago ) .
There are 6 lines with 12 plant sites in each .
Plants are in rockwool cubes and 3" net pots with clay pebbles ( yeah i know , horrible am tring to find a way of going without the cubes and clay pebbles but try as i might i cant get 3 " neoprene collars in uk .)

I have had an on going battle with the res temp being too high and frying the roots but i think i may have finally overcome . I am using 2 x 600 with cool tubes and a 150mm fan pushing cool air through from outside straight through and out agian . Also a water chiller and just for good measure i have a 125mm fan filtered and ducted straight on to the res . I also have a uv filter but not using at mo .

Room details as follows :

Res temps between 15 degrees and 20 .
Room temp between 20 and 28.

Ph 5.5 - 5.8

Humidity 50 %

use the voodoo juice, that shit is nothin but good.

I like to look at pictures first, then see if you wrote evidence to back up my guess.

Well, you did. I was going to ask how your roots looked, and how close the light was. It sounds/looks like your tops can't keep up with your roots. Back that 600 3' away, and soak them in a tray full of voodoo juice mix for a few hours. Keep those water temps down and use that inline uv filter. When they perk back up after a week or so you can start lowering the lights, but when a plant is not healthy, the last thing you want to do is push it.

i have been a little unsure about the voodoo juice , never used it before but after i bought it i read a few articles about wierd slime on roots as a possible result of the organic stuff . but have also read about the positive effects . again would like to know more .

some bits i forgot .

the strain is dutch passion - euphoria .and they havent had it easy . 2 weeks ago i had a really hot day and the res temp went to 25 - fried the roots , hence the addition of the fan in the res tank . all has been well since .plants recovered and started to pick up .
before this the mother went into bloom despite a 110w fluro on 24/7 so all the cuttings have had to go through the leaf count down and back again .

roots are all crispy white but after the the last fry up they are only just coming back . the tips of the plant look so feeble , its a sad sad tale .

my original plan was to concentrate on a small area with minimum lights and power used .
i have 72 plant sites with 78 micro sprinklers with a 13,000 ltr per hr pump . when the whole thing works its great , i get an oz per plant . problem is there are so many things that can go wrong in a small way and fuck everything up totally .
