Leaf-tip droop, and some leaf discoloration - VEG

Help please guys

I'm growing 2 different strains and I'm seeing 2 different symptoms. it's been a while since my last grow and I've forgotten quite a few things it seems.

I'll look at one strain at a time, so will post problem for the second strain in next post. We'll look at this one first....

Original Haze X Skunk #1 - leaf-tip droop

Plants are now 3 weeks old, from seed.


How long has this problem been going on? 6 days
What system are you running? (DWC? Ebb flow? Aero? Water Farm? Flood Tables? and so on...) Hand water
What STRAIN are you growing? Skunkman's Orig. Haze X Skunk #1
What was the establishing technique? (Were the seed or clone?) Seed
What is the age of your plants? 3 weeks from seed
How tall are the plants?
What PHASE are the plants in? (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? Seedling/ Vegetative
What Technique are you using? ??
What substrate/medium are you using?(Hydroton, RockWool etc.) Pure Canna Coco
What is the room temperature? 22C-27C/72F-70F
What color are your roots? White? Brown? Are your roots slimy? Hidden in coco
What Nutrient's are you using? How much of each if using multiple? Canna Coco A+B. @ 1.5mL per litre (recommended is 2-3mL per litre)
What is the TDS/EC/PPM you are using? Unknown, cannot afford a meter until new financial year
What is the pH of the "Tank"? 5.8-6.0 steady
Are you sure your calibration is correct on your equipment? Using drops not a meter
When was your last watering? this morning 8am
What is your water temps? 22C/72F
When was your last feeding change? (ie. grow-bloom-micro-additional) 4 days ago
How often do you clean your system: example: Flush out water replace with clean water and nutrients? Changed res out and flushed medium out thoroughly 4 days ago
What size bulb are you using? 4 x 36W Fluros (2 warm, 2 cool)
What is the distance to the canopy? 2-4 inches
What is your RH Factor(Relative Humidity)? good ventilation, I have no meter to measure yet
What is the canopy temperature? same as room temps
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range) 22C-27C/72F-70F
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.) really good, check my grow sig in my link
Is the fan blowing directly at plants? no, it bounces off walls and gives great airflow
Is your water HARD or SOFT? unknown
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? Tap water
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned off of or pinched? No
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so, What and When? No
Are plant's infected with pest's? No

I have 3 of this strain and they're all showing this symptom. I'm growing 4 of a different strain and none of those are showing this symptom.

Look like slight overfeeding. Some strains will show the tips turn down before the tips get burned.

What is the EC/ppm of your water and also the nutrient Solution you are feeding with?

nitro tox to be spacific....but the pale-ness of thoes leafs is disturbing.. might be a mag def. probably tap water/ph related. id get yourself some RO water(distilled) and use more canna coco nutes. maybe 2-3 ml/l

The leaves aren't pale it's the stupid camera not showing clearly what I'm seeing.

The leaves are a beautiful green, very healthy looking.

In my search for a reason I thought it could be that I'd overwatered them, so I held off until a 3rd day to water them, to ensure they were dry and have watered them and the newer leaves seem not to be drooping at the tips like these.

Yes I know 3 days is a bit extreme but on the 2nd day the pots still felt to me a bit heavy so I went to the 3rd and 2 days on this has caused no problems.

In fact it emulates nature a bit and may force the plants to push root growth a tad further in search of moisture, than their comfort zone of a daily feed.

In the area I live we're hitting 0-2C overnight and although I have a heater in the Vege room it's a pretty crap fan heater, with no thermostat, therefore am not maintaining a set temp. Instead it cycles on and off every 5 minutes or so and seems to maintain a temp in that room of between 22C-27C in daytime.

Overnight it's definitely getting cooler than that.

Thanks for your replies. I actually topped up my res last night and increased the one third of total volume I added to 2mL per litre.

I'm a bit cautious to go much further without an EC Meter
