Not sure I follow why this would be a problem... ??

Do you want all your leaves to grow in a row?

maybe you should pinch some leaves here and there...for better lightpenetration..so thinning out some leaves 2 get everything in place can't hurt...

Some kinds do stuff like that

Some kinds do stuff like that

Maybe the strain looks like leaves piled on top of each other?
As long as the growth is good and the leaves aren't distorted everything should be OK!
Kush strains look like shelves of leaves one on top of each other. llok aroud at some posts and see if there is anything wrong.

the reason i find it a problem is because its pushing other leaves into each other and making them turn upside down sideways highways :chin: and just different directions it starting to worry me because there growing into each other does anyone have this problem and if so do i have to worry someone said alot of the lower leaves will eventually die just dont try and kill them on purpose can anyone verify this i will take a pic in a min...

Yes, it happens all the time when more than 1 plant is grown in the same close proximity. You will notice that the lower leaves, those which are 'pushed out' will begin to yellow, droop and die off.

It's a-ok as long as your canopy is getting all the light. The leaves up near the top, where the light is the best, can bend/twist/backflip/wiggle and waggle...and they'll be fine.

If you do get worried try taking some string and tying some of them up so they aren't pushing others. It wont kill em and will allow additional light down in there.

Another option is to add some CFL's to the lower portion of the grow, giving the bottom/sides more light. This will increase popcorn bud size as well as overall leaf health in the bottom zone.

right on thanks i was waiting for an answer thanks bro i was really concerned about them but yeah crazy like you read my mind i put 3 cfls around them so all the leaves that are coming from the stem are getting more light there coming out now and not flipping as much i will post pics too see what people think its being growing for about 3 1/2 weeks am i on the right foot???

Hey Rbk,

Glad I could help. Sounds like your extra lighting will work wonders for your little ladies.

As far as the leaf dryness this might be normal or may be an early sign of possible nute burn. Leaves are obviously supposed to be dry but they should be bendable. If you grab a leaf in your hand and squish it, it should NOT snap/crackle and break.

I'd recommend keeping an eye on the leaf color vs it's texture/feel. If they begin to turn dark green and droop, chances are extremely high they're getting nute burned. Otherwise, based on the pictures you posted, they look fantastic!

Hey Rbk....

Sorry man, that pic is seriously too blurry to see.

First things first, take a deep breath and relax. If you were running 800ppm and just upped to 1100 then:

1. Breath, dont post 100 threads in multiple boards asking for help because you will get 100 different responses and end up here...confused and not sure what to do next or who's right/wrong.

2. Regardless of what you read here YOUR EXPERIENCE IS THE KEY. If you had grown this before you would KNOW what ppm to run it at...but this is new territory for ya. So give yourself a break and just observe/learn/document so that if you clone this thing or run another of the same strain you'll know more of what to expect.

3. I didnt say it WAS nute burned. You said the leaves were dry - but didnt elaborate. I could have replied, "Good. Dont put them in the shower". Instead I gave you things to look for as time passed. Notice I ended with they look fantastic. So dont freak.

You will KNOW if they are burning - they will turn very dark green and begin to sag a bit. IF they do that just flush and lower the ppm's, write it down for the future and let her recover.

Less is always better from what I've found. A lack of nutes is very easy and quick to fix without shocking the plant, nute burn is almost the opposite in that it's a hassle to fix and does freak the plant. So in the future, when you go from 800 to 1100 try using a buffer in there.

Example:
Mon - 800ppm and all looks good
Tues - up to 1000ppm
Wed - top off rez and check EC/TDS. Is it higher or lower? If higher they are burning.
If lower....
Thur - up to 1100ppm
and repeat over and over again until you either get to 1400ppm (for indica) or around 700-800ppm (for sativa).

First of thanks for info great stuff to look forward too and keep in my mind on what to do and what not to do.. Right on thou thanks man your a big help on this well there doing fine ive seen some little yellowing spots in certain places but they where doing this before i upped it to 1100.... i thought maybe it might be bugs or something because there is two holes in the plant but only on two leaves outta of all there is.... "haha "good dont put them in the shower....." lol.... again thanks for the help klutter

No prob! Remember - the #1 cause of newbies plants dying is they over do everything..they check pH 3 times a day, spray if they even think a gnat flew by, water way too often, and so on. They are trying to fix it when it's not broken, which ends up killing the plant. I'm just as guilty as everyone else in that I think I drowned my first attempt, hermi'ed my second, burned my third and so on. It's why I grew bag seed and tomato's for the longest time, cause I knew I'd just freak if I killed a 60.00 strain.

Keep in mind - these things are really weeds, they dont need someone to hover over them to make sure they're alright.

You're doin a-ok based on what I see here! Keep up the good works and you'll be enjoying your own homegrown in no time.

Keep It Simple, Stoner!!! :joint:
Seriously, don't sweat the small stuff!!!
If the overall growth is ok, then don't freak out.
I have had lots of yellow spots from lack of mag. But not until the 3-5th week of flower. Most yellow leaves come from lack of light when there on the bottom of the plant.
1100 PPM is kinda high but not Unheard of. Go up in small steps.
I have Never had to go over 1/2 strength food. 825 PPM is my MAX in my coco mix.
As long as your growth is steady, everything is fine.
