Leaf deformity in coco

First post time... I'm growing NL in coco for the first time and have grown this strain in soil many zillions of times before. I'm now bout 2 weeks after their transplant into coco from rooted clone stage. I'm getting a bit of leaf deformation that has shown up in a few cases on a few on my plants...

2 piccies. One's a full view of one of the plants showing the general health and the other is a close up of a leaf near the base.

In changing to coco I'm using new nutes for the first time with Canna's coco range. I started off with half feeds and on the second week upped it to a full feed as directed on Canna's schedule. I use Canna's A+B and Rhizo and Cannazym. I also added silicon into the mix... again at half the bottle directions in the first week and up to full dose in the second week. I got EC's of around 1.3 with half dosing and it went up to 1.5 with full dosing. I only noticed these leaf deformations after the first week but which points the finger at upping the nutes but I didn't want to over-react and half them again.

I'm hand watering them every 2-3 days with a ph of 5.8 at last feed. The ph has been messed about a bit as I had a few different ideals thrown at me and I've corrected to what seems most likey now. (Started at 6.0 then was advised down to 5.5. Decided to stick it in the middle from info I've seen other growers show off)

I've seen some plants before sporting this type of thing as a PH problem too. Hopefully someone on here with more experience than I will have seen this type of thing before. Any advice appreciated.

Here's some more detail on their setup. Just reading the stickies now...(oops)

Strain of Mj?
Northern lights

From seed or clone?
Clone

Age of plant in question?
6.5 weeks from clone cut

What stage (Veg/Flower; how many days into)?
Veg 2 weeks into coco transplant.

Medium (Soil, Rockwool, Hydroton etc.)?
Cloned into small soil pots and transplanted to coco 11 litre pots.

Container/Pot size?
11 litres

Water runoff Ph?
Havent taken ph at runoff ... will do with next one.

Nutrients added?
Canna A+B, Cannazym, Rhizotonic

Ratios of nutrients (N% P% K%)?
As per Cannas schedule (Not bottle directions). First week on half.

Feeding schedule?
2-3 days. Fed with every water.

When were they last fed/watered?

How are you determining when to feed/water (weight, wilting, etc.)?
Watering to runoff. Was intending to water more frequently but most don't seem too so trying 2-3 days.

TDS/EC/PPM?
EC of nutes added in first week from transplant was 1.3 in second week 1.5. 800-1000 ppm

Tap/RO/Distilled water?
Tap

Ph before and after adding nutrients?
8.2 before... Ph downed after nutes added to 5.8

Is your Ph equipment properly calibrated?
Yip

Light intensity/Age of bulb/Wattage?
Swapped between 125w and 250 cfls. Dependent on size. Flip them about to even out the crop height.

Distance to the canopy?
6 inches or so... maybe a little further.

Temps at canopy?
Too high... need to get it down a bit high 80's if enclosed but keep vented so should be ok.

Temps at root zone or reservoir?
Not taken

Day/Night temps (Min.-Max.)?
Can be low 80's falling to 60's at night.

Is there air blowing directly onto plant?
Couple of fans on 18/6 along with the lights.

Using CO2?
no

Relative humidity?
50-60 sometimes falls to 35.

Growing technique (Scrog, Sog, Supercropping etc.)?
Basic 1 plant per pot stuff. Will be flowering in dripper system.

Has plant recently been pruned, clones taken, fimmed or pinched?
These ones have had their one and only top cut done. Problem visible at that stage.

Pests?
Pest free

Your plants look overwatered, how often are you watering them?

Also you need you check your pH too; it's important, even though I don't see a pH problem..... you still need to check it in case problems occur,

DO you know how to test the pH?

I hadn't taken the ph at runoff but I mentioned that I'd taken the ph in my initial post. I've got a got a shiney new, just calibrated meter for that and I'm not afraid to use it.

I started watering regularly when I transplanted into coco. Watering every other day. But it seemed really heavy and the plants were really small. After 2-3 waterings like that I decided to leave them longer and see what difference that made. The last watering was 4 days ago to be exact and I've just watered them again. I've been worried that they are being over-watered but coco needs wet and how wet is wet?

On tonights watering I watered to runoff which has left them feeling soaking wet again. I'm not intending on watering again for another 3-4 days but open to suggestions on leaving off longer if it looks like I'm overdoing it. I've just not been sure what to expect with coco.

I can understand overwatering being the conclusion with the example leaf I've shown a pic of but it seems odd to me that its quite sporadic. In the pic of the full plant you can see that other growth has nice healthy-ish leaves and they aren't deformed or curled at all. Out of 16 plants there are maybe a dozen leaves like the close up example but thats still a very low % of all the leaves. Would that still look like overwatering to see the damage locally to only a low proportion of the leaves?

Thanks for replying, most appreciated.

Cannabis likes a good watering now and then and then like its roots to dry out a bit, not totaly dry, but where they are moist but no where near saturated.....

I would wait a bit, would lift the pot before and after a watering.... so you know when to water.....

You will have to waitl onger in between waterings when the plant is opverwatered since the roots are stressed and it takes time for them to heal, so one or 2 days more then what you were watering so every 6 days until they heal and you can go back to your normal waterings...... not to mention if you have them in too big of a pot I would not be watering until run off every watering....

How tall is your plant? You have to put the size plant in the correct pot size other wise it contributes to over watering as well.....

The plants were transplanted out of small 1 litre pots straight up to 11 litre pots. I used to jump them up to a 7 litre in soil and then up to an 11 litre just as they went into flowering under the bigger lights but I had gotten advice just to go to the largest pot size right away since I was taking these a hydro route with coco as the medium.

The nute directions seem to support the watering to runoff of coco as part of the removal process for salt buildup and thats what most folk seem to suggest is the tried and tested way for coco. Like you say though I maybe just need to be waiting that bit longer still though. It's tricky to judge it when the medium is new to you and some folk are watering veg plants to runoff twice a day.

Thanks again.

Oh... and height. They are only about 10 inches high on average at the moment. They've probably only doubled in size since the transplant and I've been thinking that's quite slow. I'd like to get them up to 16-20 inches before flowering them.
