Lazer thermometers

Hell I've spent so much getting my co2 straight,in my 8 by 8 room I have 6 cheap wall thermometers hanging every couple ft,a pretty ineffecient way of determining which way to point your vents for the best "even" coverage,I think a lazer thermometer would be the way to go.You could nail the cola and know exactly what temp that plants experiencing,I may have a 10 degree difference or better with wall thermometers hanging just 2 ft apart if the light's shining on one.Anyone here crazy enough to spend the money for a lazer thermometer? Was it worth the expense?

I use one, it reads the actuall temperature of the leaf tissue, so it gives a more accurate figure to base your environmental adjustments on. Air temp is one thing, plant temp is the key though.

They are not that expensive anymore either.

I think its a great tool to have.

I already had one but use it even more now.

I use it to check temps around the room IE: pumps and ballasts and electrical connections and I also do a quick run through on the breaker box with it once a week or so or after adding new equipment.

I get great peace of mind knowing that nothing electrical is getting hot.

Awesome...was over at a friends a few months back and saw him using one for his aquarium. After some searching cost seems to come down to accuracy. Checking 75 F at 1% accuracy gives a range of 75.8 to 74.2 which is pretty good. Most decent digital thermometers are +/- 1 F and a laser provides so much more versatility...point at res water, point at buds, point anywhere...I'm gonna get one...thanx Skeletor.

Radioshack has a few and I'm pretty sure you can find em at Walmart. I've also seen some in model/hobby stores pretty cheap. Some of the more expensive models have a laser beam that shows you exactly where you are pointing but I dont think its necessary.

Heres one for $25 US. I know several folks that have them and they work great.
